Oh, and I had to look it up. I definitely watched the one where Huerta got his head kicked in, which was like the fifth event. Phil baroni fought in one of the earlier ones, so I probably heard about it about that, but I didn’t watch until Huerta.

If you watched it from the start, then you definitely beat me by about a year or so. Amazing flex.

Hell no they wouldn't lol. I was rooting for Shevchenko and Merab, however in Merab's case it was a matter of which one I disliked more and that is O'malley. Style wise tho it's Merab by a landslide. A boring performance is a boring performance, does not matter who it is. Sandhagen vs Font? Boring as shit. Ngannou vs Lewis? Boring as hell. Rose vs Esparza 2? Zzzzzz. Both title fights tonight? Zzzzzz

I think both Valentina and Merab's wins were boring. They did very little damage and won their fights essentially off of control.

Blame the judge that gave Grasso a 10-8 5th in their 2nd fight for the absolute reason of making sure the scorecard had a specific outcome.

There was no reasonable argument for a 10-8 in the round I saw in that fight and no possible explanation I can imagine aside from Grasso is Mexican and they didn't want her to lose her belt on Mexican night.

Because of THAT Valentina HAD TO make it so that there was no possible way for the judges to fuck her out of getting her belt back.

GSP gets more than his fair share of hate for his style. Also perhaps it's partly due to their personalities. Shev has always been a very sore loser. But tbh I don't mind it at all, that's who she is and I'm glad she won tbh. If it happened the other way around I'd be pissed because I don't like Grasso.

Shevchenko clearly had the advantage on the feet but decided to make it a hugfest for whatever reason.

O'malley barely threw a strike until rd 5 and if he opened up he likely would have won, Merab was gassed in rd 5 because he had staph. He was too afraid of the takedown to throw strikes and Merab took him down anyways. Not a fan of O'malley but he was the only one that landed anything significant in the fight. Scoring system is what it is.

I will say I disagree with the sentiment that the card was all trash tho. Watching Ortega get the piss beaten out of him is always nice. Also Rodriguez vs Osbourne and the Ribovics fight were both great.

There are so many boxing/kickboxing orgs you can watch that you'd never have time to keep up. This "mixed" thing ain't for you, chief.

It is what it is. Their opponents couldn't defend well enough to keep them off nor could they submit them or knock them out. That's what happens. When a match is even or an opponent has an advantage standing up or on the ground like that but can't quite seal the deal/has to be careful or they could get finished themselves it can lead to some boring matches, there's two sides to every story. I accept that.

That said, when fighters like Deval blatantly coast and run out the clock I resent them for it. I get it and I understand not every fight will be a banger but they are also entertainers and when someone is clearly coasting and doesn't give a fuck it's annoying, especially on a night where many of the previous competitors fought for victory every moment of their fights. It sure as shit doesn't make me wanna watch them again. At least try to do something, that is literally what you're paid for.
