You don't have to enjoy the fight you have to acknowledge that she had to win her career was on the line. And Valentina beat her everywhere not just by hugging but by dominating on the feet the fight was boring but only Alexa is to blame nothing to do with Valentina at all. Grasso landed 6 strikes or something insanely low she did nothing. Lol at she wouldn't be robbed so much only ever happened once lmfao. You're unhinged. Completely disagree, the blame was 100% on Velentina, Alexa was actually trying to finish the fight.

And her career was on the line because if she didn't win a belt? LOL, maybe she should do us a favor and do retire if this is how its gonna be against any high level opponent.

People have been saying theres too many finishes? the majority of fights have been going to decision for years at this point. You can never have too many finishes!

The kickboxing thing is absolutely true though. Things are heavily skewed towards stand up point fighting in the UFC nowadays. It used to be much closer to 50/50 stand up/ground.

She took Grasso (and others) down despite being better at the standup because she never lets her opponents get comfortable or figure out how to strike back against her. She builds a striking lead and then dumps them down, and ensures total victory. Cos she's fuckin smart and they cant do anything about it

Call me crazy but defending takedowns should be a strength for an MMA champion.

Not being controlled on the ground and having the ability to get to your feet when pinned on your back are also good traits for a champ.

None of these thing apply to Grasso and O'Malley last night

O'malley barely threw a strike until rd 5 and if he opened up he likely would have won, Merab was gassed in rd 5 because he had staph. He was too afraid of the takedown to throw strikes and Merab took him down anyways. Not a fan of O'malley but he was the only one that landed anything significant in the fight. Scoring system is what it is.

I will say I disagree with the sentiment that the card was all trash tho. Watching Ortega get the piss beaten out of him is always nice. Also Rodriguez vs Osbourne and the Ribovics fight were both great.
