But they get away with that because of their training, chin, fight IQ, experience, ect..

But most of all because of doing the same flaws and errors in real sparring against other killers. There they will find out what works or not.

Ronda... Will my guess is that her "sparring" uses the same format as brock lesnar did use in his training camps

Bas said recently on JRE that he saw Rousey's pad work in Brazil and thought she looked nearly flawless. In her case it's not so much her poor technique in sparring but more the poor sparring she has in terms of how they relate to real fights in the octagon.

Check the thread date. This was leading up to the Holly fight when people where saying that Ronda DID know how to strike and was an amazing striker now including Edmond talking about how she was dropping pros in training and all that.

The point was that Ronda was nothing close to that.

Examples of her terrible footwork like this one... Look at her go and give the entire octagon as room for her opponent to just slide away.

You should go skim thru those prediction threads for holm-rousey. There were a lot of people here saying rousey would walk thru holm's pitty pat punches and knock her out.

I had to remind people that would not work against a boxer with fast/good footwork and some people called me crazy.

Thanks for the analysis, TS. While Ronda might not become a great striker even with a competent striking coach, I'm sure she would clean up many of the gross flaws that lead her to be mediocre overall in that area.
