Ill break this down into proper shadow boxing form followed by Ronda's form.

Overextension

Overextension of the elbow can lead to injury so trainers recommend only over extending occasionally with a snap (twisting the hand/forearm inwards + elbow pointing upwards)

Ronda does add the snap to her punches:

BUT she almost always overextends her punches which can be seen in the following image where she throws three consecutive overextended jabs:

Now lets compare to Andre Ward practising his jabs:

The extent that Ronda over extends her elbows will unfortunately give her major elbow problems in the future.

Shifting weight
A vital part of throwing a punch is the transfer of weight from pushing with the back leg before the punch to the front leg.

Notice Sergio Martinez's body moving showing the transfer of weight?

Now lets take a look at Ronda:

Virtually zero shift of weight in fact her body barely moves an inch from where she started the jab/cross.

Ronda is therefore an "Arm Puncher" meaning she does not engage her hips/legs when throwing most of her punches. This means she tires her arms out faster than someone who puts their whole body into a punch and punches with a lot less power.

Now not everything about arm punching is bad it is especially useful for fighters with little power who throw with higher volume (Nick Diaz, Michael Bisping etc) but for Ronda (who has a fairly stocky frame with short arms) arm punching is definitely not ideal when the benefits she would get from using her whole body when throwing a punch would greatly improve her power and stamina.

Head Movement

This is another key flaw in Ronda's shadowboxing. Moving your head away from the centre line is a basic defence that all fighters should employ when shadow boxing. This was one of the main reasons why Holly's left hand always found a home on Ronda's face.

Lets take a look at everyones favourite Floyd Mayweather employing head movement into his shadowboxing routine:

Notice how his head never stays in the same place from where the punch was thrown?

Now lets take a look at Ronda:

Her head movement is so absent that her shoulder actually hits her in the face when she throws a punch.

Conclusion

Ronda is an amazing athlete and an incredible fighter but a lack of understanding of the basics of shadowboxing cost her dearly against Holly. It also shows some serious flaws in her camp. How could it get this bad this far into her career? By having a yes man as a coach. Ronda should seriously consider any offer from a competent coach who will point out her flaws and help her before her next fight.

This could have been summed up in a much more scientific way:

"Her stand up is complete garbage."

The overexaggerated twist of the hands will likely lead to wrist injuries too I would think

When shadowboxing its not too bad to be honest because the emphasis is more on technique rather than power which means the hand/wrist can be relaxed. Injuries occur however when they carry this over to sparring/heavy bags.

Is it just me or does Rondas shoulder hit her in the ear when she throws her second jab?

Show's you Edmond may be a good fighter but as a coach...he sucked.

Yep, I don't know why TS said "Ronda is an amazing athlete and an incredible fighter", why people can't admit that?

This may be getting a little off topic but what astounds me is that Mike Tyson was at GFC watching her hit mitts and shadow box. Him and Cus use to go over a lot of video work and find flaws of all their opponents... Imagine the amount of flaws he saw in her boxing that day but didn't say shit because he was a guest with Dana, Lonzo, and the fuck around gang of GFC...
