SMFH

There was a story that Jones would shit bricks before some of his early fights. It's been speculated that's why Jones couldn't give up the PED's, he has a dreadful fear of losing. Like Rousey, mma is Jon's whole persona, as evident of him constantly having to validate his goat status on Twitter (smh).

I respect your opinion btw, cheers.
Having anxiety and nerves before a competition is pretty normal for a lot of people. As long as it goes away when the cage door locks it's not too big of a problem.

Including perma-staining what little bit of clean legacy he had left (if anything). At this point his legacy is probably looking like the Turin Shroud after an Indian festival
His legacy is intact, and little haters on a penjak silat forum can‘t change that. The GOAT flies miles above your head.

You’re a real piece of shit bud. It’s no wonder you don’t care about Jon’s cheating - you share his values.

Jon Jones will be remembered as the GOAT who ducked Aspinall. If you think he’s getting backlash right now, wait till he retires and Tom’s long reign at HW begins. Every time Tom wins a fight “Jon Jones ducking” narrative will come up. Jon thinks he’s outsmarting everyone with this “W” but it’s a short term view. He’s not thinking down the road. And he’s didn’t get his big pay day. That’ll make him regret deep down inside even if he’s all smiling outside.

You don’t actually believe this weird fantasy you have do you? no one even gives a shit about Tom Aspinall outside of this place, he fought on Belals undercard in England for fuck sakes 🤣

Meh, I rate bones for dragging this out he's wise to the UFCs ways. He knows that aspinall needs him more than the other way he's exploiting that to finally get his share of the pie.

Anyone who goes up to bat for the UFC on this issue is a brain-dead shill, the same people complaining that o malley gets a rematch or that the match making is bad will complain about a fighter trying to get paid what they are worth.

Jon should be able to ask for 25 million and it should be NO problem

Maybe Jon HW champ is needed for UFC negotiations for a broadcasting deal. So they wait. And don't even want him to fight Tom until they got a new buyer.
Does that make sense at all? Jon has 1 fight left maybe and that is a very slim chance (slimmer than Jon's calves) of happening. Do you really think that a team of high level executives from sports networks, streaming platforms etc. are going to make a 5 + year deal based on 1 fight? That's not how it works.

This one last potential Jon fight can't possibly be worth more then the 3-4 HW title fights we would have already had so far and the 3-4 more we could have before Jon is finally declared stripped and retired.

i kind of don't give a shit at this point. UFC's belts mean shit now a days anyways. hell, their own champions GIVE IT UP like Topuria and Ngannou. it's also nice that Jon is lording over a wasteland of a division. he literally has ONE fight, Tom and that's it.

i just look at Tom as the HW champ and that's that. i rather Jon just retire. whoever beats him now it's going to be lackluster because he's clearly past it. i don't even want to watch him fight anymore.

There are better fights for Jones.
DC was hinting at unretiring for a fight with Bones. DC at HW is a different beast. What a fight
Alex can move up permanently after his next loss.
Nate Diaz said he can bulk up to HW.
He doesn't need to fight Aspinall.
This has to be sarcasm, right? Its hard to detect with Jones fangirls.

He should just do what he's best at, gaying around with the boys.

Apparently they offered him everything he asked for and he still isn't fighting. I think they should pay him but I want to see him fight Tom. His Legacy as a HW is smoke and mirrors IMO. And all this bullshit about him being so old is garbage. He is 37 and Tom is 32, exact same age gap as Jon and Stipe.

DC is 9 years older
Shogun is 6 years older
Rampage is 9 years older
Machida is 9 years older
Rashad is 8 years older
Matushenko is 17 years older
Bader is 4 years older
Matt Hamill is 11 years older
Bonnar (RIP) was 11 years older
Gusamao is 10 years older
Vitor is 11 years older
Sonnen is 11 years older

Jon claiming they are trying to force him to fight someone so much younger isn't fair is laughable. Now they are saying he asked for 6 months to prepare for Tom Aspinall? He knew in Nov 2023 that Tom Aspinall was the Interim Champion and his next worthy opponent. They need to strip this DUCK. He isn't going to show up in NYC in Nov and will try to drag it out until the NYC card in 2026 at this rate. Strip him and keep offering his fights against Tom Aspinall to keep his contract tied up.

it's funny how he destroyed so many older dudes while he was young, but now that the shoe is on the other foot, my guy is having PTSD flashbacks of the Shogun fight, except this time he's Shogun.

Underrated post, UFC has always used the carrot on a stick tactic with fighters until they age them out and there payday is long gone - Jones has beaten the UFC system and is smart enough to milk it for what it’s worth, UFC wants Jones to put his legacy on the line at a bargain price.

It’s not on Jon to give a fuck about Tom especially in this sport and the UFC knows Jones carrying the belt around as a prop brings eyes to the sport in a time it’s desperate for stars, it’s why they are so hesitant to strip him.

I mean... Not even the UFC fighters seem motivated to fight more. The welterweight division became a ghost land ever since Belal became the champion, the remember the name meme maybe also said of whether weight. Chimaev who was crazy active before, calling everyone etc is now more relax, it's not that crazy about fights, has not that competitive craziness anymore. Islam Makhachev doesn't want to continue in lightweight specially with Topuria there, and he will wait Jack vs Belal, and try to become champion of the ghost welterweight division. Arman was all brave, calling out Islam, saying he would be the one to beat Islam... After a split 50/50, win against Charles, he punched a fan, then missed weight and is not even saying anything about fighting... Tom is also not well, in the sense of anxiety, he is making videos opening up about anxiety awareness, mental health, he's showing its being tough to keep the energy. Alex Poatan, I dunno, after a 50/50 fight vs Ankalaev that Ank won but it was pretty even, not memorable for most fans since it was lacking... Both fought in a way that made the fight seem more boring...

Jiri Prochazka also has lost his edge, it seems he is up to something in regards to testing pool and I think he won't be allowed to fight for the title... Ulberg and Jan was boring af... With all due respect. The division that had potential in middleweight has reached a point it became stagnant... We don't know if DDP and Chimaev will fight, we don't know what was up with DDP.

I mean, I think these fighters are seeing that keeping the same motivation is tough. When you're starting, in their first 10 fights in UFC, successful ones, the energy is high yet... But keeping the same motivation, all while knowing the long term risks.. it's tough. Imagine for someone like JJ who has kept this drive for many and many years... The current generation had shown this hunger in the first times, but it's like when everyone is starting their supplements enhancing training... It is fun to train, it becomes easier in the sense of it being more natural. It's easier to focus on the training. With time, even when they're on their enhancing supplements, it becomes harder to find the same motivation to do the heavy training. It's not that the supplements don't work anymore, but that initially it's always the honeymoon phase, but with time, even with the mental boost the supplements gives for training harder, the body knows its limitations, so it won't "work as well as before".

I think that's even the reason why some of the fighters are fighting less too. If some sort of performance enhancing chemicals are being used (which is, no one if clean off that totally... The are levels ofc but they are in some things), cycling off will be a way so the body don't acquire more tolerance than it already has. A way for the body to adapt to a no energy phase so when they can use their energy, the effects can me more visible — not like the first fights tho, that'd be chasing the dragon, basically.

It's time to strip him. Let him have his fun fights at HW without the belt.
