Smelling Salts

it saved Ali (cassius clay at the time) vs an English boxer named Cooper I think. he was basically knocked clean out but the salts brought him back. some people use it for lifting too, before a big set they take a sniff. I might order some and try

Henry Cooper and it was his conerman cutting his glove and buying him 15mins in the changing room to change his glove that saved him.
You should watch the Parkinson show with them both on, so much respect between them that it was almost love.
Henry the bomber.

hes like a British Treasure lol

Wait there was a 15 minute break?!? After he got rocked? Damn lol

I heard Mike Perry's corner is going to start giving him bath salts between rounds.

makenzie dern can fart in my face any time. id tongue destroy her baloon knot even after she went in the bathroom

Nope, they are definitely not allowed while a fighter is still conscious anyway

I believe they're banned by athletic commissions In combat sports, as they've been used to revive fighters that have been concussed which can be very dangerous.

Not sure about MMA, but same comissions, same rules I would assume.

I bet they've tried to sneak It in though.

smelling salts are amazing

I got KO'd playing football and woke up to my coach waving smelling salts under my nose. Acrid stuff, they work. Probably not.allowed in combat sports.

You basically just told me a bedtime story with gifs. lol. Thanks!

This somehow reminds me of Yokozuna back in the 90’s days of WWF. He would throw salt for his sumo gimmick and also his manager to cheat.

They are banned in boxing
According to rules set forth by The World Boxing Union “the administration or use of drugs, injections or stimulants, either before or during a match, to any Boxer or by any Boxer is prohibited. This includes smelling salts, ammonia capsules or similar irritants. Any contestant who violates this Rule shall be subject to disqualification.” (See WBO Rule) Similar rules exist across various different boxing sanctioning bodies prohibiting the use of stimulants including smelling salts.

They shouldn't... Would just be sending them out to get another concussion.
