Skyrim Special Edition

I would wait until after the main story to progress the Blades quest. Obviously, they will ask a pretty hefty task of you and you will have a choice to make. Don't want to give it away so I'll leave it at that.
ok thanks

I got my guy to level 17, so many missions to do this is crazy. I just did one where i got stuck in some prison and had to escape. Im still getting destroyed i need to learn how to block better, so sloppy.

Are magic healing and healing potions my best bet for healing? I ran out of potions!

Remember you can dual cast your healing spell bro. I've played like 400 hours of this shit and I only learnt that the other day

Just curious. Do any PS4 users have a good mods list? Would like to see what other PS4 users are running. :)

Civil War Mod

I'm getting fucking rocked! i suck ass at this game. Dont' even know if should continue, it's annoying getting stuck in these Caves and shit not being able to find my way out.

steam apparently gave me the special edition! woot! i will layoff as my other install already has hd res pack and all that jazz.

i just restarted a character that'll use magic and throwing knives. pretty fun running around chucking knives around at wolves!

Food is also a good bet. Don't be afraid to cook meals when you find a cooking pots. The normal cooked meals aren't that good but there are a lot of "stews" and "soup" with special regeneration abilities. The cool thing is, these meal stack! For example, if you eat some vegetable soup, you start regenerating 1hp and 1stamina per second. If you eat 10 bowl in-a-row, you will be regenerating 10 hp and stamina / second, that's beastly.

Beef stew, Venison stew, Horker Stew and Vegetable soup are among the best food to carry around. In terms of straight healing, food are not really good but the special ability of stews and soup largely make up for it. Even mages can't go without food: The Elsweyr Fondue is one of the arcanist favorite recipe as it boosts magika regeneration and stacks when you eat multiple servings!

At 82 percent on the achievements now. Too bad I can't be fucked now to go all the way back to fix this glitch and beat the last quest in Dragonborn. Which sucks because I'm going to miss out on three achievements because of it.

Thanks @rikwebb, I didn't even know the answer.

@Fraz No hijacks, the FO4 thread is asleep right now! I did pick up most of FO4 trophies but I stopped collecting them after Far Harbor. When I made it to Nuka World, I didn't have the heart to remove all mods just to collect te trophies so I didn't get them, even though I finished Nuka World.

I have a Cryo-Unarmed build that I plan to tryout in the next weeks. The only weapons allowed are the Cryolator and bare fist: no glove, no claw. A funny thing to do: freeze the opponent, get in his face and stop to activate Rooted, unleash a Power attack with your bare fist and you'll most likely trigger a finish animation. Either a GnP finish of a frozen opponent or a suplex to shatter him on the ground!

Guys at Bethesda really love suplexes:

I don't know why they neutered unarmed in Skyrim: completely removed the skill but have animations, a special enchant just for unarmed, bonus damage on khajiit and argonians, and the heavy armor perk. So stupid, I don't want to jump through hoops to have a badass H2H martial arts character.

Can I turn off quest markers for this game? Also how do mods work? PS4 here.

When you open your quest log (I don't know the PS4 button for that), you can choose which quest is "active" and which one isn't. There's a mark in front of an active quest, you can turn it on or off.

Be careful with MISC quest: If you don't have the MISC mark active, quest in the MISC section will not show up on the map. You need to have the MISC mark active AND the mark for the MISC quest you're doing. It sounds complicated but you should get the hang of it in no time.

Just experiment and don't be afraid to screw up: you can always re-load an earlier save!

Got damn I'm playing Falskaar mod for the first time and it's some exhausting shit. I just wandered into some random dungeon and after like 2 hours I still haven't finished it. Had to kill like a 100 Death Overlords. I could've walked to Mordor and back in the time I've spent in this dungeon

Speaking about that, there are a lot of LOTR mods out there: Mines of Moria, Unique Weapons (Gimli's axe, Legolas' bow, etc), Gondor Armor, The One Ring, Hobbit Hole and more!

If you like new unique content and are a fan of LOTR, you must try some of them! As for Falskaar, I would not dare to try it. With my addictive tendencies, it will be a death sentence for me...

So... I lost 6 hours of progression on Saturday because I fucked the Dawnguard initial quest up.. FUCK

How did you screw it up? Did you have to restart the entire questline? I don't remember it being very complicated.

Stating the obvious here, but it is truly amazing how much content is in this game.

I put in over 100 hours back in 2011, never came close to finishing, and just hit another 100 hrs on my 2nd play through where I'm probably not even 50% done. The kicker? These two play throughs are completely unique doing mostly totally different quests than I did the first time. I don't know why, but I thought Morthal was some orc strong-hold dungeon so I never went there. A quest took me there and I discovered it's actually another town/hold with a great mission in it.

It's kind of crazy how talented these guys are that worked on this. They are so far ahead of the game in their niche it's not even funny.

That's why this thread is so popular: Skyrim is an immortal game. You can choose to blindly follow the main quest and you can choose to completely ignore it. Both options can give you a good 100 hours of unique gameplay. My advice is to push the main quest until you unlock dragons and shouts, then do whatever the hell you please!

The game just isn't as fun without Dragons and Shouts!

Yeah my first play through was a disaster. I stopped at every single location and would not move on until I cleared it. I never finished anything and totally burned myself out.

This time, I focused a lot more on missions I felt would be fun. I only highlight one marker at a time so I don't get too cluttered.

Many people have "OCD" with open world games, but I feel like you have to let that go to truly enjoy this.
