Yes I've known about his weight loss there's multiple other threads before this and even Reem saying he went vegan. The male body obsession here is very sus

Well, physique plays a huge part in fighting, so it's probably not 'sus'.

I don't like that if he gets skinnier it will remind me of Rumble (rip)

Pride FC Reem is back.

He gave up meat and started to eat normal amounts of food. A guy like Reem to keep that size on was probably eating 20-25K in calories a day.

20-25k calories a day is an insane amount of food. even 10k calories a day is a tremendous amount of food. which is probably closer to what he was eating during his horse meat days

in any case to many observers of pro sports in general lose sight of what even relatively large men like Overeem look like when they stop lifting so heavy and get off of the training caloric surplus - not to mention PEDS

I've said it here before, but every single fighter on the UFCs heavyweight roster at the moment, could make LHW if they wanted to or had to. some of them could fight at MW. for that matter, most athletes in other sports like football and basketball could make LHW of MW if they really trimmed down - even most of the larger athletes. and by far most of the giant athletes could still make 265 if they really trimmed down - although I am still in favor of a 285 lb cap or none at all

too many guys with mediocre bone structure even in the professional ranks of sport, that make up for it with PED usage and muscle building

It doesn't take long for that high intensity muscle to go away once you relax or nix those high level workouts.

Dad Bod... catches up to all of us who make it that far, and he still looks better than 95% of folks his age.

the body really doesn't want to hold on to too much expensive muscle if it doesn't have to. the amount of food that needs to be eaten gets very old after a while as well - not so much during the muscle gaining phase when you are always ravenously hungry; but once you gain the muscle just to maintain it takes so much food. eating becomes an integral part of your daily routine and not something to look forward to

in any case the fan base of professional sports has gotten so accustomed to athletes enhanced out of their minds that they seemingly forget or don't understand what these guys look like without all the enhancements/training routines and caloric surplus. all part of the brand, of course. make these guys look like supermen. good for business

You ain't kidding.

First, I was never near 'Reem physique, but I've spent last 3 years lifting hard, added good bit of bulk.

Did something dumb, had to stop for a while. In 4-5 weeks I feel like I've lost 3 years of mass. It goes way faster than it comes.

FzABYTHWAAAPS1E

Looks like he's turning into Skater-Reem.

He looks like a welterweight. Oh well, its probably healthier whatever he is doing now.

in my case i seem to be able to gain it very fast, but also lose it fast if i don't keep the heavy caloric surplus up. the necessary caloric surplus is more important than the training. go without training for a few weeks and with the caloric surplus you will not lose much muscle - it's not like it will all become fat in that short amount of time if you have healthy male hormone levels. but without the caloric surplus it just melts away.

you have to eat. period. and it becomes an integral part of you daily routine - if you want to keep that expensive muscle, that is. in my case, i don't feel like it is worth it. my frame and just a basic athletic musculature is all i need ; and i don't have to think about eating or any routines for that

Back to his original state - original overeem

How do you figure that’s a dad bod?

That’s far from a dad bod give me a break. His biceps are popping out and he’s ripped. You’re just comparing him to Ubereem . Our sense of what is “ out of shape” is seriously skewed because of media .
I know he's far from a full blown dad bod, but he's on his way. Maybe it's that he's so skinny now that the big muscles are sticking way out while the rest looks more typical. He just has that aged look overall. It's a pretty common thing for older once buff dudes to lose that overall look & start dwindling down like he is.

He's got great amount of muscle to help him age more gracefully. His guns will serve him well no matter how they look as he ages.

I am disgusted at how the Rizin president's arm is as big as Overeem's.

Undereem vs Ellen DeGSP at 185lbs soon.
