and use defense soap to deter any potential skin infections?

Had to take 3weeks off due to bad impetigo on my face, was very annoying.

I keep getting re occuring ringworm... pain in the ass, i cover and tape when training, i also apply cream daily.. and then just when i think i have it beaten .... bam it appears again. Someone at my club has it and isnt looking after it properly... i just need to narrow down who it is.

Be considerate folks.

Run to Walgreens and grab a tube of polysphorin. You will find it right next to the neosphorin. This antibacterial is made specifically for the bacterium that causes impetigo. It will clear it up in a couple of days.

Then grab a tube of triple antibiotic oinment and toss it in your gear bag. Whenever you get a nick or scratch hit it with at shot of the ointment.

You need to apply your anti-fungal cream three weeks after you no longer see the ringworm. I like to take a sharpie and put a dot in the middle of the ringworm. This way when the ringworm is no longer visible you still know where to put your anti-fungal.

just ordered a six pack of defense wipes. one of the gyms i train at is 45 mins to 1 hour away from my house while the other is only 5-10. i figure for the days i train at the one farther away the wipes will be perfect since i can't hop in the shower right away.

will probably order the soap next month, would have ordered it together but the soap lathers up so well that the sample guy sent me looks like it will last a while. plus some guys from the gym are trying defense soap out and we'll probably order together. i, however, knew i wanted the wipes right away.

thanks guy!

Thanks for the order Dat1978. Let me know how you like them.

Bump, got my sample in the mail today. Thanks guy!

I received my free sample of defense soap a couple of weeks ago and thought I'd share my experience.

First, a little background information. Over the past 5 months, I've had staph (non MRSA) twice and ringworm three times. It was the first time in about 7 years on and off the mat that I'd ever gotten ringworm, and after I got it the first time, I'd almost get rid of it and then have it show up somewhere else. For instance, I was washing my pillow case every day (the ringworm was on my neck), and I went on vacation (left the country) and didn't wash my pillow case that day. While I was gone, I got rid of the ringworm using lotrimin, and when I came back home late one night, I went to bed and woke up with a new case of ringworm on my face. Awesome.

When I first started using the sample of Defense soap, I noticed that my most recent ringworm went away much faster than previous cases. After it went away, I went back to the gym, which is still a ringworm cesspool. Apparently everyone's gotten ringworm while I was gone, and there are signs posted everywhere about how to treat ringworm and to stay off the mats, etc. I'm back to rolling 2-3 times a week, and so far I've had no new problems with ringworm, even though people are still rolling at the gym with the dirty worm.

As mentioned before, the soap does lather up like crazy. The one ounce sample I was given is still in my shower (although it's so thin it's almost see-through), which I think is pretty good.

I'm pretty seriously considering ordering the soap now. It is expensive, but it seems to last for a good amount of time. I think the most telling part of the soap's effectiveness is that I haven't yet gotten ringworm again while everyone else at my gym just keeps passing the crap around. That's pretty impressive. I still have the body wash sample, which I'm going to use next. If I get ringworm (or anything else) again while using the soap, I'll be sure to update this post.

El Beebo,

You are going to like the shower gel as well. They both are 100% natural and they have the same amount of active ingredients.

Keep us posted please. We know what our soap can and will do. Your words will be 10xs more valuable then mine. That is exactly why we send the samples.

PS: I have been worm free for 5 years and loving it.

Yeah, it's totally messed up, but there's nothing I can do about it other than point out what they're doing. A few of these guys are professional fighters (a guy the other day honestly didn't realize he had ringworm on the back of his neck--thought it was a bug bite), and I can understand them not wanting to take time off with fights coming up, but yeah...everyone gets it and keeps getting it. In the 5 years I've been going to this gym, this infestation is the worst I've ever seen. I'm hoping it will pass soon.

ok, but what about the teacher/owner? he should be stepping up and saying something. ugh, i'm kinda grossed out just sitting here thinking about it.

There is an entire population of gym owners who refuse to even admit there is a problem with skin infections. These guys try to hide it to avoid chasing people away. What they don't realize that there is no hiding it and in the long run it will come back and bite them.
