Skateboarding (expressive like street etc) is definitely art. There are some forms of art that are turned into sports.

When I used to race downhill that wasn't art, that was sport. When I used to lay a fat Bert on the vert that was me expressing myself, that was art. Photo for context, no sport there.

I think they just don't like Nyjah and support Tyshawn's style of skating more. Honestly, it'd be pretty contradictory to take a big stand against him and supporting Andy Roy as much as they have!
