No. Not even close to be honest. It's basically a beefed-up rugged golf cart, right? Or no?
If so, I'd rather a traditional ATV. Also probably would rather have a golf cart, actually.
There are specific riding trails and areas for side by sides. Places where trucks and such can’t fit and aren’t allowed, and many don’t allow dirt bikes. A lot of people like side by sides because they can spend a weekend riding as a couple or entire family. But in areas without riding trails, probably not worth it.I hate them. If you want to go out on trails then ride a dirt bike. And if you don't want to learn how to ride a dirt bike then get a quad/ATV.
These side by sides suck ass. First of all, the seating position just makes it feel like a car. It's boring. And you can't really explore very well because they're so wide. You're limited to dirt roads that you could just drive a jeep on.
Plus they're no fun for your passengers. Only the driver gets to have fun.
Plus they cost as much as a new car. Fuck that. I have had some expensive toys but none of them cost more than my car.
Also, you need a big ass trailer to take them out. Dirt bikes and ATVs can fit on a much smaller trailer or even in a truck bed.
The range for electric dirtbikes is trash.Get an electric motorcycle instead. Dirtbike style.
What is it ? I thought some were like 40 miles on a single charge. That’s pretty far for me personally. But obviously not if you are out all day or somethingThe range for electric dirtbikes is trash.
You could probably get 40 miles out of a Stark if you're going slow on hard pack terrain but I was depleting about 4% of the battery per lap on the track. Performance is unreal though. SurRon range is about 20 to 30 miles and you can hot swap batteries. What is it ? I thought some were like 40 miles on a single charge. That’s pretty far for me personally. Being able to wear normal clothes and not getting covered in dust and mud would be nice though and I feel like we’d go moreYou don't use the ones you have now what's going to change if you buy another one?
Ya. I was looking at the Sur Ron X version I think. It looks like great torque. Also in California I imagine it’s good for the green sticker for all year even during dry season. You could probably get 40 miles out of a Stark if you're going slow on hard pack terrain but I was depleting about 4% of the battery per lap on the track. high school kids be riding surron's........ extremely popular in california, and who can blame, they are nimble and fun to ride. Battery life probably isnt great though, and from what I recall, charging takes a few hours to fill up.Ya. I was looking at the Sur Ron X version I think. It looks like great torque. I just wanted it to drive around the town and city. Throw some non working pedals on it and use it in the trails or get a moped sticker for it.![]()
Including the men in uniform?
I have a dirtbike. It’s a 2001 KX250, I’ve owned it since about 2006. Also have an atc250r if 3 wheels is more your thing. I do own a trailer that would fit one too, I use it for our sleds atm though. I’d still be keeping one of our atv’s (mine is a factory 2up 1000) too.I hate them. Stealth missions around town are what the Sur Ron does best. You probably don't even need to bother with pedals, no one seems to care as long as you don't ride the MTB specific trails.Ya.
