Missing weight is just unprofessional. Even though the fighter who misses weight has to give away 20% of his purse, he still has the unfair advantage of added extra weight, while his opponent made sure to respect the rules.

What do you think of giving a point deduction to the fighter who misses weight, in addition to the 20% purse cut? A 20% cut is not a big penalty if it helps earn the guy a title shot.

I'd support this. Even deduct 1 point per 2 lb. overage. They gotta stop this shit.

I like what your thinking. However, I feel like that missing weight is already heavily considered in title shots. Also, I am reminded of Rumble vs Vitor... The refs did him no favors.. and as soon as he tried to sit on Vitor to wear him out, the fight was moved to neutral.

Just don't think anyone that wins a fight after missing weight is given much consideration at all.

Nah. No one would fight if they missed.

Should be a 1 limb deduction if you miss weight. But you get to choose if they tie one arm behind your back or one leg to your other leg

I actually don't hate that idea.
