Should chokes be illegal?

The neck is a very fragile part of the body. Strikes to the throat are already illegal for this very reason. It would seem to reason that if it is illegal to attack the area with a strike it should be illegal to attack the area with any other technique. We see rules change and evolve in other sports all the time. Why not in MMA?

I agree, ban chokes. I've seen way too many people getting punched both standing and on the ground as well. I'd like to see that taken out, no punching. Sometimes people get kneed or kicked, maybe some day take those out as well. But lets take one thing at a time. Chokes have to go first.

Really, the belts should just go to the mouthy person that Dana likes best. In fact, I truly believe the majority of people would approve of this.
