He's not losing but the GOAT of any division should get a rematch I believe
Yet y'all complained when Aldo wanted his rematch. When his skin color ain't white, they don't get that Dana White privilege of rematches.

I guess it depends how he loses, if he loses in a close fight than yes. If he loses decisively than no.

What do you guys think?

Three losses in a row, no TS

No, and nobody ever should unless there's some sort of controversy.

Just going to select yes, no matter how he loses because I'm smart enough to know that volk is a company guy and the UFC will treat him well if he loses as he has done them solids before. I know this, you know this anyone who thinks Volk shouldn't is valid but anyone saying that he won't is just clueless. In the eyes of the promotion he's earned it. He has not lost at FW in the UFC yet.

When your likely GOAT FW Featherweight fighter then yeah re match no matter what.

Was criminal DJ never got a rematch

Reminder that he would have 3 losses in 4 fights and be on the wrong side of 35.

This is a pivotal fight for Volk.
Win and his 155 losses can be chalked up to weight class and Islam being an elite champ.
Lose and Volk officially turns old.

If not Volk, then who? If max gets the shot and wins…

So sick of rematches. Volk deserves one because of his status, but it takes up a fucking year of fights in the division. The champs only fight 2x a year. I feel like its better for the champ that loses to take some time off anyways than rush back in for a rematch anyways. Out of respect to Volk I voted if it's a close fight. But Topuria as champ opens so many fresh matchups its a shame we'd have to wait until 2025 to see any new matchups come together.

Out of curiosity what match up are you dying to see topuria in? Obviously Max and Yair...but after that unless Volk gets completely dominated I'd rather see a second Volk fight than say Topuria vs Arnold Allen or Movsar...Topuria also gives me a the vibe of a dude that will immediately campaign to fight for the LW title if he beats Volk or start to call out O'malley if he beats Chito

I mean the whole division opens up besides Emmett rematch. You just named off 4 different names. Even Ortega is possible (lol). But yeah besides that Topuria used to fight at LW so Islam down the road would be a fresh matchup. Volk essentially has Movsar/Allen left before clearing division. I'm still rooting for Volk to pull off the upset, I just think Topuria has the footwork to give Volk fits. O'Malley/Topuria would be so much better than O'Malley/Volk too.

I think champs only deserve a rematch if there is any controversy. E.g split decision very close fight or premature stoppage.

If he just gets plain beat - no way.

If it’s a razor close decision than I could see a rematch warranted. But if there is a finish of Volk, It’d be hard to make.

But out of anyone who would deserve a rematch it would be Volk based on his time and accomplishments as a champ at 145

Volk deserves an auto rematch no matter what, he is a dominant champ and I am for giving a guy like him the benefit of the doubt, also 145 isn't that great of a division, there's not too many contenders right now or at least someone else on a hot streak, this would be the most compelling fight at 45 if Topuria wins and Volk has done so much for the UFC, the dude never lets his belt collect dust

I guess, but I wouldn't recommend it. Once older guys lose their belt, they almost never win the rematch, it's usually the sign that their age has caught up with them, and he'd be better off moving up for a fresh opponent at LW than likely taking a 3rd loss in a row.

With five clear title defenses, yes. Unless it's a first round KO.
