The things I go through for my Sherbros....
It helped that I placed the Shadface first
Haha, i understand perfectly. That's lovely how your determination works, do you ever put a timelimit on yourself to finish something, or do you just keep going until you're happy with it? Do you often go back and think how you could have done things differently, or added something extra? Or do can you feel when you've reached your goal, like "yep that's kinda what i was shooting for, anything more now and it'll be too much"? Sorry for all the questions, i'm just interested![]()

Damnit this was a request but I accidentally deleted the PM so I forgot who it was for. I'm getting too old for this shit! (personal joke between me and Mike)
I don't see any 'trash' folder in the PM area. Is there a top secret one I don't know about?
The time limit always seems to be 15 minutes. 'Yea I can knock that out in 15 minutes", but this deadline is never met.
One of the worst parts is finding images/video to work with. The original Rogan elephant took about 30 minutes to make, but finding the proper elephant ear video took 15-20 as well as the background. The same for every single piece in that shoop, so that's like 2 hours+ of Googling. (I wonder how many gay porn videos Mike had to watch for his Shoop).
I'm glad to hear that! I spent WAY to much time on the se7en gif (10+ hours?) but I did learn a ton about how NOT to do it (and I learned to NEVER do anything like it again!).I am sure everyone can relate, unless someone here has some top secret info that I don't know about. Total time on that one was 8 hours plus. Seems to be an hour or two average including Google time. Longer with the more complicated .gifs.
I'm like that too (well, minus the "amazed" part since, due to user error and incompetence, things never "work out" for me!).Yes, constantly thinking of how things could have been done better. You look back on your Shoops and say "Ahh, it needed a bit more yellow". Or "Damnit, should have made his eye dodge to the left at such and such point". I bet most Shoopers are the same. Sometimes satisfied; sometimes "It's good enough for Sherdog"; other times amazed that things did work out.

I really enjoy playing in PS (and sometimes illustrator or AE) and part of that enjoyment is the complete lack of pressure/stress. If I was doing this as a job, under deadline and to someone else's specifications, I'd still enjoy it but probably not quite as much.

Haha that's awesome! I sent you that gif, you nailed it!
I for one am not buying that story.
