It's from Quantum Leap. Here's a short vid of it.
I used the imgflip site. I'm certainly welcome to other options/suggestions!
Can someone explain the origin of this photo ?

I see you fired up your old 386SX and made some shoops.
Mahalo bro.![]()
I think the image I used had some "Liquify" applied to it.It's like a brush you use to warp things.
Musta taken a while to cut all that out. Just so you know there is a website called www.remove.bg that auto cuts stuff out. While it is not perfect, it does a decent job most of the time. You can also edit the cut out it makes.
T'anks mate!
It's called "Masking". It's a way to make stuff go on top of other stuff. Like this frame with the drum stick. You can always edit the mask so it is non destructible. If you were to use an eraser, that is destructible.

I should have made the one in teh back Ariel Helwani
thank you man!!
What is it from? Can you find me a video or gif?
Gifs can be difficult. You did not pick any easy one BTW. When things zoom in/out, they can be hard. Trying to keep everything lined up and making the head move in a sort of natural, non-jerky way takes time to learn. Your gif is 60 frames, so basically you made 60 shoops. What program did you use?

You're very talented dude, what programme do you use to do the gifs with if you don't mind me asking?
Also I hear you on the Ariel thing haha![]()
I had no idea about this, thought it was something much more complex. Do you just create a layer mask with something like a black form, and move it in the timeline to cover the parts you want to become invisible?
I never used layer mask but i use clipping mask a lot when i am drawing.
Gimme a break, ahahahaha!<Lmaoo>
This might be my favourite on here, looks amazing!<Lmaoo><Lmaoo><Lmaoo>

I use Photoshop to cut stuff out and to sometimes color/light match things. I really didn't do much of that on the gifs you requested cause I was just hauling ass and didn't care so much about quality. I will generally make my gifs in after Effects. This program has a steep learning curve and it many times harder than PS. But once you kinda sorta understand it (wich takes a hell of a long time), it becomes super fast.
I will explain it later. I have to go brah. but Layer Masks are kinda hard in the video timeline of PS.

Yeah it does sound like it takes a lot to learn but once you grasp it then obviously you can get more creative with it and fire them out quicker too, really good stuff
What is your take on the animation type gifs with putting photo images in them? Like with the He-Man one I mentioned earlier, I was initially going to (and preferred) the actual animated clip than from the Dolph Lungren movie but then I thought it'll probably look a bit shit having a photo over an animated gif which is why I chose that instead (although that turned out awesome anyway so was a pretty good choice haha)
I did it!

I do stuff like that at times. It works good. Sometimes coloring the faces can add to it especially when the cartoon face is a solid color. Here are some samples in the spoiler. You decide.

Video timeline, i created a layer mask, erased the old dude's hand in the first frame and just moved it in the others.
