Nice work on Max, though the lighting needs adjusting slightly on his cheek :)

I wish more artists would try harder to match the templates to the backgrounds like you have

Tried again, with another Poirier's head and using some tools i didn't knew before. Even erased a bit of Bisping head and tried to redo ref's arm and Poirier's trap.

I re-sharpened Poirier's face 3x with the sharpen tool, and 1x for Holloway. Sharpening/Softening (+ adding noise) are very useful tools for blending and matching the image quality etc.

I love that you're going back to your shoops to advance your skills, it's how all the better artists progress. Definite improvements on the lighting. A good tip is just to use the areas nearest by as reference points, like Bisping's right shoulder for the right side of his face and then John McCarthy's arm for the left side of his jaw. They are much closer now which really helps though I did adjust the left jaw so you can see what I mean, I reduced the hue but not as much as the arm, just enough to give a similar shadow.

This of course is an alternate technique, if the face angles match and you can copy the lighting underneath i.e Bisping's, face then you can do that. Often though it looks terrible because you see more "inconsistencies" when you know it's a shoop as opposed to knowing it's an unedited photo, and the lighting, hue and texture are usually different from one skin area to the next.

Thanks for the tips my friend, i appreciate a lot. It was pretty fun to redo that shoop.
