Television Shogun

I’ll go tomorrow, actually I’ll look it up on the website first.

They don’t have it

Can't even buy on Amazon video in US unavailable. Could probably buy on DVD on amazon but I haven't had a DVD player in 10 years .

My public library has 4 copies of the original DVD either checked out or being held, as well as audiobook. Need to renew my card and see how to get those audiobooks... and imagine what the original ho looks like nekkid.

Amazon product ASIN B00KB01OT0
Heres the bluray set. They also have the dvd set which I have and is good enough quality.

I put in the link dunno what happened . Just go to amazon and search for this 1984 SHOGUN DISC SET.

I’ll look at my public library and if they have it I’ll send it to you. You better send it back though.

The original is 5 dvds. Maybe the people who dont like the og just saw the extremely edited 1 dvd version.

I thought the 80s one was a miniseries but all I've seen on the high seas is a 3 hour movie.

It was surprising to see the path they've taken with the ending of Episode 4. The way it feels, maybe we'll see a taste of the war to come. If there's one thing I was a little critical of in the eighties version, it was the lack of a big giant Akira Kurosawa battlefield with thousands of soldiers.

Cosmo Jarvis is growing on me. I can't say that about her who plays Mariko. She is too western in her manners. I saw that Hiroyuki Sanada was one of the producers for this series. I wonder if he had anything to say about her casting. Given that he was very particular about the Japanese being as authentic as possible. Odd indeed. Moeka Hoshi who plays Blackthorne's consort could actually have played Mariko instead.

Otherwise, they have succeeded well in creating an authentic feeling of Japan and the cast in general is really good. It's extra nice that Tadanobu Asano is there as I'm a big fan of his and he was in one of my absolute favorite movies, namely Last Life in the Universe.

Great movie!!

Good to see Kiku the hot naked ho return and go bottomless, but barely showed a partial nipple. Her face is 100x better than Mariko's, who had her boobs blacked out even on HULU. WTF?

Never knew you could shoot chains from a cannon.

The young son and young nephew are too tryhard.

Great another vapid remake. Just go watch the original or watch the film Twilight Samurai if you're into the main actor here.
this was due a remake though. loved this book. it's weird how most classics wouldn't make it past an agent today.

Wouldn't expect an agent to know what good art is. They're called classics for a reason.

The MVP had way too many clothes on
