They have Nike soles. very comfortable Plus they don't look like you're wearing cheap shoes.

i put the gel sole on top of the one it came with for extra support.

I got another question. Since the gel sole will go on top of the other sole, will I have to get a half size bigger? Or will my actual size be good enough without it being too tight?

Get some of those dr schools gel inserts or something of the kind. I buy shoes for looks, not comfort. But if they hurt or are uncomfortable, get some insoles.

It's better to err on the side of being to big than too small. Most of those gel soles are supposed to be cut with scissors to exactly match a shoe anyway. They usually come too big. I had to cut about an inch off of mine. They don't sell specific sizes, like size 12. They sell them like size 9-13 or something. And they have a line you can trace with scissors to cut down to each individual size.
