shin conditioning

Interesting exchange in this forum;

Sounds like there is a huge cost to all this hardening.

There certainly is a cost, if you are not properly taught how to remedy or apply healing recovery methods.

One reason I love the orient and its history........... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Traditional_Chinese_medicine

Look into Iron shirt or iron palm training

You can buy online...........

I thought they said you can't condition the shin? Am I confusing the different parts?

You might want research old methods of conditioning a good example.......

But so then why does shin conditioning work? I think it's pretty well-proven at this point that kicking hard things with your shin really does harden them up, and doesn't seem to do permanent damage. I wonder what it is about shins specifically that makes them different

Cause your legs have to take your full body mass your whole life. Running, sprinting, and jumping will probably exert a lot more force than any kick. Your hands are not meant to be load bearing for long periods of time.

is that valentina?
i kicked a few banana trees but then i stopped...they were not that hard and honestly, i love bananas, i don't want to kill a tree.

Yup, that's her. And yeah, I'm not being entirely serious or anything, but I just had to post it after your gif of JCVD kicking the tree. :)
