Media Shevchenko wants Miesha Tate next

Lmao at the idea that Shev/Tate is a 'money fight'.

I dare the UFC to put that as the main event. Nobody will buy that fucking shit.

Santos lost the fight, She took her down and did nothing, Took a beating on her feet and got lit up from Valentina’s guard

Schev knows that Santos is just the beginning: 125 is about to become a shark tank with lots of up-and-coming challengers. She wants and easy money-fight against Tate before the real challenge begins.

I love ya Val but you aint ever main eventing a PPV, unless literally everything else on the card falls apart.

If Bisping can get Hendo for a bit of a legacy/money grab, Valentina can get Meisha

funny that shes been in a razor thin close fight, and now all of a sudden she's really pushing and talking about 115, 135 and fighting miesha tate.

when she was getting matched up with liz carmouche and jessica eye, her language was totally different lol. she was saying she was going to break the title defense record. this is the first fight in a long ass time she wasn't simply able to clinch and overpower her opponent if she wanted to force the fight to the ground.

up until this fight, it made sense if she wanted to go for nunes a 3rd time or another fight. but now with this super close fight where many think santos won, business is not settled. she has not "cleaned" out the division.

you should rematch santos

Don't get me wrong it was a close fight, but she still won it 48-47. Santos had some great success from the back in two rounds but she wasn't going to choke Val through her chin. Even when her back was taken or she got taken down Val still managed to beat her up with hard shots. Val still won the fight, she just didn't murder her opponent this time.

Let Santos improve a bit and come back with more than one position to work from. You throw her in there now and she will lose. Val just needs to avoid initiating clinches and takedowns and she wins that rematch easily. She was lighting Santos up. Santos needs to make major adjustments on the feet, add more takedown entries (her head was the one that came forward onto Val's) and work on her conditioning. She did well, but she still lost most of that fight except the Body triangle, rear naked choke attempts.

You’re right, she doesn’t deserve the rematch she deserves the Win, especially considering the only damage Schev did was use her Dolphin Dome as a weapon
I actually thought Santos won, but if you're bringing up damage Santos did literally nothing

Valentina landed a loooot more

Santos fight was close but not particularly entertaining, give her someone new first, both of them.

I agree it won't end up as a main event of a PPV, but it could still potentially headline a good PPV in theory. UFC 250: Nunes vs Spencer was a pretty good PPV despite having a below average headliner.

I get it. But honestly kind of yawn worthy from a skill vs skill perspective. Not even a guarantee Tate wins her first fight at the weight. But yeah she has the most name value probably in the division. So I understand why she wants it. Good name to just randomly add to the resume.

I'm not a huge fan of instant rematches so I am okay with this. Besides Santos needs time to heal up

I like this. I don't want to see a rematch versus Santos immediately. Both fighters should beat someone else and then do the rematch.

If Miesha can win her current scheduled fight I am okay with her getting an opportunity at 125. She is probably as good as most of the current group at 125. Everyone else has been finished until the Santos fight at this weight.
