Media Shevchenko wants Miesha Tate next

Val wants to get those PPVs up <Lmaoo><Lmaoo>

Miesha even now is a top 3 draw in WMMA easily.... which is sad

Santos should have done more with her takedowns. She got outdamaged so control means squat. The head clash looked though sus imo. They have done instant rematches for less but 2 judges got it right for the most part.

She has beaten everyone in the division already lol
Tate has no business fighting a championship caliber fighter in this day and age. It's like when Cruz fought Faber for the third time, completely unnecessary fight with a very predictable outcome.

She was talking about going to 135 after this all week, and when did she talk about 115?

It was a really close fight, but Santos doesn't deserve an immediate rematch.
it was really a close fight, but no for an immediate rematch? why?

its a clear duck if you've been champ for so long, and then you run with your tail between your legs to fight pena or nunes when you finally have an opponent that can match your physicality. santos isn't a 115er or an outmatched 125 girl like jessica eye, liz carmouche, lauren murphy, chookaigan etc.

shes a legit opponent for her. again, its a clear duck if she bails on 125 NOW of all times when a girl thats as strong as her comes along. and she felt that last night.

thats why the grappling exchanges went the way they did, shes been so used to clinching and ragdolling all of these 125ers and 115ers, she finally ran into a chick that she cant bully.

this is a real test for her now

I'm not a big fan of immediate rematches...and even though the tide sure seemed to turn after the clash of heads, I don't think they really need to run back Shevchenko-Santos right away, especially since Santos may be out for a bit (I think she needs surgery for a broken orbital?) Let each of them win one fight and then it makes perfect sense to do it again.

Same with Glover-Jiri...I wanted Glover to win, and the fight was obviously very close, back-and-forth, decided in the final 30 seconds, etc...but Glover was not a dominant, longtime champ who deserves an immediate rematch. One win apiece and they can run that one back too.

Santos is out anyways. Tate can be next and Santos can be after her.

lol at Shevchenko headlining a ppv. 125 women will never headline a ppv.

And Shevchenko should win this fight easily. Tate is way past prime.
Holm is also waay past prime and yet she wa beating these new hungry fighters and having very competitive fights in the ones she lost.
Even the last one against Vieira. Holm was like 41 or something.
Kinda unbelieveable.

It was a really close fight, but Santos doesn't deserve an immediate rematch.

You’re right, she doesn’t deserve the rematch she deserves the Win, especially considering the only damage Schev did was use her Dolphin Dome as a weapon

Anthony Smith said on the postfight show last night that he thought Miesha was her biggest challenge at 125. I mean, it's obviously Santos, but I guess Miesha isn't as big a pushover as I think she is in everyone's eyes.

Not surprising, she looked really underwhelming last night and needed a headbutt clash to clinch a questionable win.

Either she wants a confidence boost or feels like she’s beginning to decline with age, which leads to taking fights with non-contenders with known names.

Yet another former champion for Val to add to her growing resume.

I do wonder if Tate could pose a challange in the early rounds because of her crafty grappling skills.

funny that shes been in a razor thin close fight, and now all of a sudden she's really pushing and talking about 115, 135 and fighting miesha tate.

when she was getting matched up with liz carmouche and jessica eye, her language was totally different lol. she was saying she was going to break the title defense record. this is the first fight in a long ass time she wasn't simply able to clinch and overpower her opponent if she wanted to force the fight to the ground.

up until this fight, it made sense if she wanted to go for nunes a 3rd time or another fight. but now with this super close fight where many think santos won, business is not settled. she has not "cleaned" out the division.

you should rematch santos
