20x a year, dear Lord! And the guy who paid the sherpa to help him will brag about climbing Everest for the rest of his life. Respect to those guys (the sherpas, not the other dudes).

these guys are pound for pound strongest in the world dont you think?

its crazy how much work they doing for the "Westerns". They have to carry a ton of shit for the the clients and make sure they have everything the want. Hot face towels and tea in the morning. Fuck that. Haha.

But there are 4 base camps and the sherpas have tp carry everything up and down the mountain over and over again during the i wks it takes to climp everest.

Underpaid and under appreciated. Commercial climbing on Everest would probably avalanche without them.

I've always thought that it's such a bitch move to pay a pile of cash to climb everest, yet you expect some Sherpa to carry your shit and do the hard work for you.

If you think you're capable of climbing a mountain, do it your fucking self. Having someone guide you is one thing, but having someone be your servant the whole time is something entirely different.

Sherpas are og.

It talks bout the money they make in the second hr and how todays sherpa are more aware of their vaule and how its conflicting with the Commerical guys.

They still get paid shit but now are trying to fight for more.

You aint lying. If you watch this and see what happens will make you realize that shit.

The sherpas have to stop over some stuff and the Clients who are already there and half way up the moutain wont even attemp to climb the moutain without the sherpas. Pack up their shit and lose all they money they spent on it and go home. WTF.

What do they make now? A few years ago it was a few thousand for a lead Sherpa on one of the larger teams.

They said 4-5k for the trip. Which they said was alot.

But they had 13 Sherpas die in 2014 when this was filmed and the sherpa fought after the govt was only gonna give the families 400$ for their loses. Now the sherpas get INS. for when they die.

I highly recommend watching it. The first 1hr is great showing how much work they do. The second talks more about their pay and how things are but still worth watching.
