Sherdog's Shawn Hawk v ............

Have there been any Native American boxers to win a major title yet? I used to root my ass off for Joe Hipp and was hoping so bad that he would k.o. Seldon and win the title.

Good luck and lets have an after fight victory party on the forum.

Shawn only gets a party if he shakes the ropes Warrior style after he wins.

Both of Jack Dempsey's parents had native blood.

Reg Gutteridge wrote that the great Joe Louis had first cousins in the American South that looked like full-blooded native people.

Henry Armstrong too had Native American ancestry.

The Aztec Warrior Fernando Vargas.

Danny Little Red Lopez.

Tommy Morrison too.

Josh Barnett in MMA.

Multi-racial though right.

Many Mexican fighters have native blood.

.

Marvin Camel was a native american and the first cruiserweight champion

Come on now, some of these are a stretch. They're akin to someone whose grandfather had sex with a slave and produced an off-spring saying they're part black.

Or are told that they don't own the water that their land (as a sovereign Nation) contains, and that water is piped off the Rez and used in a City hundreds of miles away.

LOL or that they getting maggotty steaks and cheese that if you melt it turns into 10w-50

This guy's performing up this way next week.
Don Burnstick with his redskin humor.

YouTube - Don Burnstick (Native Comedian)

It's very funny, but I know a lot of the jokes are not caught by non-natives.

The stuff Burnstick says, a native can recognize it in family and friends.

One of Burnstick's bits was how if white people want to work out, they join a gym.
When redskins want to work out, they go to jail.
"One year less a day weight-training program!"

"Indian men don't know how to date; we STALK."
Hah hah hah.

.

Good luck man...looks like you go to the body well....I saw those 2 clips.

Rem...keep on jabbing. I think you are 5'10 5'11" ...shorter cruiser(not that you are short) must also rem to always jab their way in.

I just went and seen him perform awhile ago and he was funny as hell most of the audience was native so his humor was caught. I would definatly go see him again

WTF?
What does Slavery have to do with the equation?

Even if a white man rapes a black woman, the resultant offspring is part black and part white. You don't get to disavow a part of your heritage because it's inconvenient. Facts are facts.

It's a bit of a stretch in that you can't really take somebody "looking [like a] full blown Native" as being factual, but the other examples hold up don't they? Percentage ain't got nothing to do with it.

Many Mexican fighters have native blood.

Most people in Mexico are at least partly native, same for many other parts of Latin America, but as a general rule the terms American Indian and Native American are limited to people not of Latin American origin. Anyone from Mexico or elsewhere in Latin America is classified as Hispanic/Latino no matter what their actual racial background may be.

Shawn. How about a televised fight with BJ Flores for a title and some money?
