Eric Fields.

Resident boxer Shawn Hawk is going to be fighting Eric Fields in a cruiserweight bout on May 2nd.

Hawk is 18-0 w/16KOs.

Eric Fields is 12-1 w/10KOs. Only loss coming to Ola Afolabi who recently KOd Enzo Maccarenelli.
Eric Fields was seen on ESPN fighting Kelvin Davis taking Davis out by 1st round TKO.
 
Anybody have any videos on Shawn? I've casually been looking on youtube since i joined sherdog but i was never able to find one.
 
Whoa ho, someone's gettin' knocked out here I think.

I like watching the development of prospects, seeing the gradual step-up in class, each fight a bit more stringent test than the last.

Haven't seen a whole Shawn Hawk fight yet, just a few clips of some highlights somewhere.
 
Did his promoters website have a bunch of clips of him?

Also, his fight with Doug Kaluza was on youtube. That was on the undercard of RJJ.
 
For those interested; Shawn Hawk was one of the names mentioned on the original Contenders list we received when cruiserweights were first mentioned.
Along with: Johnathon Banks, Matt Godfrey, Ola Afolabi, Aaron Williams, Tokarev, BJ Flores, Ehikhamenor.... you know, the GOOD line up.
Not what we got.

That line up would have been exciting. When I saw the final guys I was thinking it was a joke.
 
I think hawk wins by Kayo. He is a pretty skilled guy and has some pretty good power. He hasnt fought for awhile I dont think and it is because no one wants to risk a loss to him right now. I would love to see him win this fight impressively then go on to fight Aaron Williams

I think Hawk elaborated a bit on it.
I think he said that they talked big about wanting these names but never sent out contracts.

No offense to the guy, but Tim Flamos?

It was the best Contender yet, and Shawn would have been in very tough in that particular tourney.

This doesn't sound like it's going to be a very fun time in Nova Scotia either. It's a tough fucking business.

I don't like to blow my horn, I wouldn't put myself that high and I think Boxrec only does because there really aren't that many active Cruiserweights of note in the US anymore.

I've been trying to get someone with a real name to fight me for a while now, and I've had guys ducking me like Bush ducks shoes, hopefully if I put this guy down it will force someone to give me the time of day.
