A good friend of mine got into a bad car accident and died like 4 or 5 different times while they were working on him in the hospital. He says he remembered nothing. Literally remembers getting into the car, waking up in the hospital a couple of weeks later and nothing in between.

A good friend of mine got into a bad car accident and died like 4 or 5 different times while they were working on him in the hospital. He says he remembered nothing. Literally remembers getting into the car, waking up in the hospital a couple of weeks later and nothing in between.

How long was his heart inactive for?

Well that's clearly because the things he saw when he was dieded were so terrible he has completely locked the experience into the dark recess of his subconscious.

Tell your friend to never see a hypnotist, and get used to warm weather.

I was at an acquaintances house during what would become my final stretch of major heroin and opiate use. I was there with if my memory is correct 6 people. I ended up taking around 200mg of DXM which is the active ingredient in cough medicine. DXM is known to reduce the tolerance of opiates. I waited a good hour until I began to notice the effects of the DXM.

It was then I prepped my shot of heroin and proceeded to inject it. It was one of the most intense rushes I have ever encountered in fact it was too much, within 5-10 seconds everything went black and from that moment on I was told I fell off the couch and was on the floor. One of my good friends immediately called 911 because he knew I was overdosing. Medics came within a few minutes and were able to administer narcan which is used to reverse the effects of an opiate overdose. I stopped breathing when they got there and they proceeded to do rescue breaths and then administered IV narcan which I do not wish on my worst enemy. Within a couple of seconds breathing started and I came back with the worst pain imaginable. I was shaking violently, sweating, and my skin felt like it was on fire. They ended up having to administer it two more times while I was in the ER.

What the narcan did was immediately reverse the effects of the DXM and heroin and put me in what I would call an instant withdrawal of sorts. I spent a day and a half in the hospital and said to myself I wouldn't go back to using which was a lie. I went back to using a few weeks later which culminated in the night of Thanksgiving 2007 when I ended up in a psych ward after attacking a nurse and doctor while on a multitude of drugs.

Yeah I was a complete piece of shit for the majority of my 20's who didn't care about anyone or anything except getting my next fix. I can say now though that I'm 32, clean, have a nice steady job and enjoy life opiate free .

Also for anyone wondering I did not see any white light or brightly light door or anything of that nature.
