Oh crap.Didn't even notice there was a new thread until now lol.Was wondering what was with the slow updates of not updating.Should be a fun season.Oddly I'm more interesting in this card on FX then I was about UFC 142.

On one side I just don't like Guillard's submission defense and how confident he can be but on the other hand his takedown defense at times can look superb and he can look like the best striker in the division.

We also have to look at the fact that in their last bouts, Guillard's loss kinda came as a result of slipping on a banana peel. He got ****y after he landed one good shot that visibly affected Lauzon and started swinging for the fences. As a result he let his own guard down and got caught with a punch he never saw coming, which led to the choke.

Miller on the other hand fought a guy who soundly controlled him and punished him throughout all three rounds of their bout, and one sidedly at that. Miller's never gotten beaten up like that before and its the kind that can affect a guy for a long time to come.

I've listened to interviews from both guys and Guillard seems to have really understood the mistake he made against Lauzon and understands he can't afford to do it with Miller. Jim kinda just thinks Ben Henderson is really good and he had an off night which is a dangerous mindset. So based on that I'm going with Melvin.

Miller/Guillard and Neer/Ludwig are both toss ups imho.

I don't like Ludwig against anyone who doesn't intend to stand up with him. Neer has a very good ground game and isn't stupid enough to try and trade with Ludwig, and Bang's overall grappling defense is poor.

I disagree with the part about being too smart to trade with him, which is why I think it's a toss up.

If the 5th flying knee in the first round doesn't work, go for a 6th!Surely he won't think you're starting to become predictable.
