Sherdog is extra awful tonight.

I don't really understand the hate behind DC, he's far from perfect but he's a solid person and an all time great fighter.

All I wanted after DC's eyepoke was him to be brutally beaten by Stipe. Too bad Stipe didn't have 20 more seconds in round 2. Now let Daniel Companyman retire after two losses in a row.

And fuck those UFC shills that were calling the fight draw at the 5th round. At least two of the judges were competent to take it right. One slight wobble, I'm not sure even if it was wobble, in the first shouldn't steal you a round after you've been fully beaten for 4 minutes and 50 seconds.

He is a fake nice guy, eyepoker and cheater (towelgate), also disrespectful (walking out before Stipe's hand was raised). I believe DC was humble guy for real in the beginning, but then started to believe his own hype. Now let him retire after two losses (thinking he'll be considered HW GOAT after landing one fluke KO on the real UFC HW GOAT and one of the HW all-time GOATs).

Part of the reason people shit on DC is because of stuff like you saying he had a legendary career.

He was a very good fighter but was always second best at LHW and lost twice to the guy hebtook the belt from, really suggesting he was only second best there too. #2 in two divisions is a solid career, but not legendary. The hyperbole is annoying.
That sums it up

Sherdog is always awful.

This is still the same forum that sided with the guy who cheapshotted and assaulted another fighter backstage. Sherdog went from not giving a shit about him to declaring him the world's #1 badass and an all American hero, because he attacked someone who wasn't expecting it. Most on here are scum. I love it though.

DC is a shill and a huge eye poker.

It’s KARMA.

Also wow at being a no.2 in two weight divisions that’s gotta suck but it’s all cool cause it puts him in the same sphere as Michael Jordan

You mean the masvidal and edwards incident? Edwards was talking trash to masvidal if you do that you're especting to get hit and edwards is boring anyway so who cares... Oh goddamit i just proved your point

Not only did you prove my point, "See you in July" is not talking trash.

"Hey fellow MMA fighter, I would like to fight you next in a professional MMA competition" is not really grounds for assault.

Shitting on Sugar after a horrific injury. Dude was crying out in pain and was carried out but lol, he totally sucks and is a wuss for not continuing..
Well he and his fans had no problem talking up the win against Wineland when it was clearly a win against a shot fighter and his behaviour before this fight - talking like he was the "man" and the UFC pushing him hard. And then his fans crying about a quick stoppage and that Vera only won because of the injury.

Vera won because he made adjustments right away and did not let o'malley dictate the fight - Henry had the same thing happen to him against a far more dangerous opponent and came back to win. o'malley folded like a lawn chair and then got put out.

If you're going to talk like he does and have the push that he got then you sure as hell better back it up or suffer the backlash. Guys like that bring it on themselves.

And DC is the king of poor sports so yeah he had a good career and is a legend but he rubs people the wrong way all the time.

You call someone for a fight you can't be sure if its always gonna be in the right day my brotha

I didn't dislike DC at first. After he won the LHW and HW belt he started going on a ego trip.
This whole week was a prime example of that. Hyping up his retirement and comparing it to MJ and Peyton Manning was just his ego talking.
Eye poking Stipe in all of the three fights was just blatant cheating, but, lets talk about that one eyepoke Stipe landed and diminish his accomplishments by beating a legendary fighter twice.
Dont get me wrong. DC had a amazing career that most fighters would want after they are done fighting. Doesn't change the fact that DC tried to cheat again.

7-3 &1 NC in UFC championship fights + Strikeforce heavyweight GP champ(entered the tournament in only 8th pro fight—the opponents he beat in that tournament had a combined record of 89-18 when he fought them). Maybe “legendary “ is hyperbole. However, simply calling it a “solid career” is grossly underrating the type of career that only the very top 1 percentile of mma fighters have enjoyed. Want more context to DC’s career? 12 of his 23 Strikeforce & UFC fights were for a title.

A solid career is someone like Bisping or Forrest Griffin.

Bonus: the dude accomplished all that after having his first pro fight at the age of 30.

Forrest at least proved he was tue best in his division for a time, even if that time was very short lived and he fell apart afterwards.

DC's LHW title wins aren't real title wins. He was never the best. I get that it isnt his fault Jones cant get his personal life together and of course he is going to take the belt they offered him...but he was never the best.

He then beat Stipe, tried his best to get an easy win in Brock to retire on, and lost to Stipe twice. Going 1-2 against Stipe isn't terrible by any means and having a win over him is impressive, but again, he lost the rivalry. He was #2 to Stipe.

He was never the best guy in any division and history will show that.

That was one of the best HW fights I’ve ever seen I don’t even care. Maybe fight of the year for me so far.

This section of the forum is fanboi shit talk, and nothing else.

I read youtube comments sections that are more insightful than this forum.

O’Malley didn’t suffer a “horrific injury” you drama queen. He got calf kicked or at worst looked like he rolled his ankle.
