At long last, 2025 is mere days away from being tucked into its covers and given the long kiss goodnight. To honor our dearly departed comrade Jordan Breen, one too weird to live and too rare to die, we thought no better than to revive his beloved All-Violence Team series—with a twist. Rather than emulating his framework of one athlete per division, we slimmed it down to one man and one woman that most firmly embody the absolute joy of ultraviolence in this sport we hold so dear.

We considered it prudent to revive his mission statement, as only he could quote famed poet Ezra Pound in a piece about face-punching. A poet and terse critic, Pound’s legend grew after standing toe-to-toe with renowned boxing enthusiast Ernest Hemingway in the ring. Pound wrote: “The modern artist must live by craft and violence. His gods are violent gods. Those artists, so called, whose work does not show this strife, are uninteresting.”

In a renewed category where everything’s made up and the points don’t matter, we craft a recipe which combines a spoonful of intensity, a helping of strength of schedule, one cups of fight frequency and a dash of the ol’ razzle-dazzle. We have “Fighter of the Year” at home; we want Mr. All-Violence. Copping one more flawless line—and some Pop Tarts—from the brilliant mind of our fallen friend, “This is about the fighters who got themselves turned into animated gifs, who made you jump off the couch and scream, who sent you sprinting to Twitter to express your disbelief and had you thirsting for their next fight to be announced, waiting with bated breath.”

Hate to break it to some of you guys again. But Rountree just gassed, like in most of his multi round losses.
If he had 3 round cardio, he probably would've knocked Jiri out or further battered him.

Mad props to Jiri though. Taking all that damage at LHW is impressive.
He reminds me of Tony Ferguson in that regard. Well in others, too. Sadly.

Did you just use the word "If"?

<{nope}>

:meow: fuck yeah!!

Jiri had 2 fights this year, won both by stoppage in the final round.

One he was winning and still chose to go out there and violently seek a finish rather than coast to a decision win.
One he was losing and he went out there like a fucking G and achieved a simulated death for our viewing enjoyment

This type of shit is PRECISELY why I love this sport.

Such an unfortunate coincidence for Khalil that he "just gassed" at that time.

If he would have just gassed in prior rounds he might have survived.

But he just gassed at the same time that Jiri unloaded about 10 power punches to the gut and pursued him with aggression reminiscent of prime juiced out of his mind Axe Murderer Pride Wandy.

Rough roll of the dice.

What's this fantasy shit? That's like saying "if he was bigger" or "if he was a D1 wrestler". Yes, Jiri outworked a very good fighter with a cardio weakness, like he was supposed to.
