Looks like Frank Frazetta’s work. ^

It really does, very similar.

When I was younger before the advent of streaming and on-demand TV shows, you had to read tv-guides for showtimes and wait for movies to come up. However, Superman, Conan and Rocky were almost always on repeat. Superman quickly became one of my favorites as a child which lead me into my childhood comic book craze.

I fondly remember the day I rode my bike down to the local comic book store to pick up The Death of Superman.

Can relate. When I first saw Todd McFarlane’s artwork in a comic book shop, I was blown away; never seen anything like it before and got me into sketchwork, some comic artistic talents, and gritty, fantasy art the likes of Frazetta and others. One dude opened the gate for me to it all. I’d wager every Arcade reg has their McFarlane, to say. You are in good company.

I recently picked up the Spawn Compendium one and rereading it from the start, loved his work on Spidey when I was younger and got hooked on Spawn straight away

More Netflix and password sharing changes – additional sharing fee incoming for US and UK userbases:

Netflix has begun its crackdown on UK and US subscribers who are sharing their password with people who live outside of their household, in a bid to stop account sharing.

The streaming giant said a Netflix account was “for use by one household” and those wanting to share accounts “with someone who doesn’t live with you” must pay an extra £4.99 for the extra member in the UK, or eight dollars a month in the US.

Ouch! As one of my favorite franchises, I’m not surprised here. When the gameplay reveal happened it looked pretty bad.

Some observations in summary from Shinobi on going all-digital in gaming today. Elsewhere, he says it's ultimately 'risky'. Digital not all it cracked it up to be? Ownership of games a reasonable concern or an illusion either way assuming server pulled et cetera?

That is concerning only because I want the game to do well. I would rather just give them an extra $10 if it will help the game sell more. I will be going digital either way so I don't care to much when it comes to that.

It's especially ironic since the original Alan Wake got pulled from digital for a while because of music licensing.

Yea but I think even in situations that like they can't take away the game and you downloading it. For instance I know steam has lost games from their store but if you already purchased it you can still delete and download the game from steam as much as you want.

CDP confirms Wild Hunt has to date sold in excess of 50M units. Respect.

Brutal working conditions at Taiwan’s TSMC, Yahoo Finance reports, mean the world #1 semiconductor maker will have trouble employing for its two new foundries abroad in USA. Good read:

On the Glassdoor profile of Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company, or TSMC—the world’s biggest manufacturer of semiconductor chips—current and former U.S. employees swap messages about grueling working conditions. “People… slept in the office for a month straight,” an engineer wrote in August. “Twelve-hour days are standard, weekend shifts are common. I cannot stress… how brutal the work-life balance is here.” “TSMC is about obedience [and is] not ready for America,” another engineer wrote in January.

TSMC’s U.S. operations have earned a 27% approval rating on Glassdoor from 91 reviews—meaning that less than a third of its reviewers would encourage others to work there. Intel, one of TSMC’s main rivals, has an 85% approval rating, albeit from tens of thousands more reviews.

Not surprising. I forgot where but I read a comment from whoever runs tsmc about how they reached the top and his comment basically suggested brutal working conditions.
