I guess it's just the way you interpret things. Is Jon Jones ducking Aspinall or just "managing his career wisely"? I'd say both are true.

I wouldn't say jones is ducking aspinall at all. Jones can decide when his career ends. When jones vs Stipe was made, Aspinall wasn't even in the title picture yet.

Jones and Stipe are handling their unfinished bussiness, a fight that was signed to happen before aspinall had a title.

No idea why anyone is saying jones is ducking him. I'm 100% certain Jones has never been offered that fight.... not sure how he can duck a fight he wasn't offered....

I think Jones has the right to pick his retirement fight and at the time he picked this fight, Tom wasn't relevant.

calling Jon jones a duck is incredibly obtuse at this point. He's fought every single top contender at his weightclass the whole time he was there. Then fought the highest ranked HW availible in his HW debut.

The thing about colby (that most dont want to admit) is that he's incredibly good at managing his career risks. he takes easy fights when they are valuable wins. He's not looking for hard fights that are valuable wins. He's only lost in his title fights because with his non title fight's he's been more selective (since first fighting for the title, before that'd he'd do whatever).

Out side of colby and usman, Leon is getting back surgery, Garry is booked with Buckley, and JDM isn't ready to fight yet after his arm injury.

It's going to have to be colby or usman.... unless it's geoff neal or micheal morales
