Now I agree with you that Carwin is overrated. But seriously, they way you talk about the Carwin Mir fight. You make it sound like Mir inexplicably changed his game plan and that was the reason he lost, if he didn't change his game plan he woulda won.... Of course it couldnt be the fact that the better man won that night.

Mir had nothing for Carwin. And big Dan let that fight go on so long I thought Carwin was gonna kill him

Yeah he has a snowballs chance of KO'ing a 42 year old. And I never said anything about him outstriking Hunt. I said I could see him winning by KO or surprising people with his standup.

Again, what does 1 person supposedly overrating Mir have to do with Mir being overrated in general? You still haven't answered that question

I have absolutely no idea on earth what you are talking about. "Changed" what gameplan? You're combining random things I said to make some bizarre nonsensical statement. I said he came in and didn't think it was imperative to get off of the cage, which was retarded, and he said so himself.

Who said Carwin wasn't the "better man" that night? I full on admitted it multiple times. I've said Mir is arguably the most inconsistent HW ever. Being inconsistent is a flaw. That goes in line with him being the better man than night, pretty fucking directly. You're trying to make it seem as if I'm a bias Mir fan when it couldn't be father from the truth.
 
I agree Carwin was overrated. His best win was "Mediocre" Mir. Hey, wait, you like Mir. You should think Carwin's a God.
 
He was never terribly skilled, but he had all he'd need if he were in today's HW division. He'd have a solid chance against most of the top 10, and it wouldn't take too much luck to see him getting the belt.
 
He was also on five types of steroids according to his prescriptions that the police found at his doctor's place.

Carwin could put his weight/hands on him., and that his performance was a direct result of how Carwin was able to control the fight.

No, it didn't. Being relaxed and passive against the cage was retarded before Carwin hit him a single time. It should've been imperative that he exerts energy to get away from there as soon as humanly possible.

The only top fighters Mir beat who were in their physical prime at time of their fight were:

Tim Sylvia
Brock Lesnar (in his second mma fight)
Roy Nelson
*Todd Duffee - he's young, but he also has some sort of disease right?

Mir's whole schtick to promote fights, was that his opponent was off fighting cans in other orgs and that he was fighting the top comp in the UFC

After the Nog / Cro Cop fights, a lot of people believed him

Mir then had to eat his words with his last 5 losses

DC, Barnett, Overeem, Arlovski, Hunt

ok so do i have to spell it out for you? He's overrated today cause they're a lot of people like you vehemently defending him and his not so impressive career, and you get upset when people use Mir's own logic against him. Just because you see a lot of posts on sherdog that don't talk about Mir in the best light, doesn't make him not overrated in the MMA community.

And excuse me for not remembering Duffee's disease, it affects his nerves right? Kinda why I put an asterisk there.
