Seriously, who's going to end up as the 155 champion?

Ok show me an example of a calf kick being caught by a wrestler into a take down "Mr Top Trainer". I'm not talking about Muay Thai fighters that don't use movement/footwork and don't have takedown defense. I'm talking about mma striking. Traditional muay thai stands too upright and don't use footwork/movement and don't have takedown defense. Traditional muay thai is too stationary, the whole style is standing there and trading shots back and forth from mid range. Of course a wrestler will be able to take you down, you stay in the same spot after the kick and muay thai kicks the thighs they don't do calf kicks. Once again I said calf kicks from a mma striker that uses footwork/movement and not a stationary muay thai fighter standing square.

This is a prime example why kickboxers and muay thai practitioners have a hard time transitioning to mma. Trainers with your mindset who can't see the other details associated with mma.

Like I said before give me your break down of Khabib and strategy to use against him. Since you're supposedly a trainer this should be easy work. You say you're a trainer but put no actual input about technique or strategy and can't even properly analyze the strengths and weaknesses of a fighter. Doesn't seem like you are doing your job very well.
No, I'm not a top trainer. I'm just an ex Kyokushin and MT fighter who moved to Thailand and teach MT to fighters who comes over. I never competed in MMA. But I sure have more than average understanding of the sport. The reason why we aren't using calf kicks is because of the risks of breaking your own leg (especially if the other fighter knows how to check kicks). Which happens more often than people think. To answer your question: the takedown happens after the kick lands and retracting. Not during the kick. It doesn't matter, which leg the wrestler/grappler grabs as the kicker is a stationary target at that point. Of course the timing has to be spot on. Good wrestlers who has spent wrestling since childhood are quite good at that..

Traditional thai fighters don't use it because it's not part of their traditional techniques. You don't check calf kicks the same way you check thigh kicks, the angle and height is different. That's why leg breaks come from aiming at the thigh and it being checked and them kicking the knee or top part of the shin that connects to the knee istead. Where the shin bones is strongest. Calf area shin is weakest that's why you don't see leg breaks from calf kicks.

Calf kicks put you at a farther range than you would need for thigh kicks. You will be too far for them to just grab your legs like what happened with Gaethje because Gaethje is thigh kick heavy and and not calf kick heavy. He also throws his thighs kicks from boxing range so when Khabib fell he was on his legs already.

Watch Chandlers fight who is considered a strong wrestler and see if he was able to go for takedowns after a few calf kicks. See if he could even move around the cage without jumping around on one leg. Also Gilbert Melendez fight vs Stephens is another great example.

It's very easy to compromise the leg with calf kicks if the kicker kicks hard, has conditioned shins, and knows where to aim. It'll take 2-3 kicks at most. Calf kick is too low to catch, so there is no fear of a take down. That comes from catching thigh kicks, no one reaches down and can catch calf kicks. Plus doing so just lowers their guard completely to a head kick.

Cejudo by KO second round
Volkanovski is an oversized midget scared of a proper sized midget.

No seriously, you are taking this up the ass way too hard everytime even though I told you I'm fucking around.
Though I do believe Henry has a good chance to beat him. All the points you mentioned now I've made a detailed thread already explaining it better too so you agree with me.
Then :eek::eek:s in that thread came at me saying I'm "judging" Cejudo, as if I'm not the biggest fan of his here.

You all are snowflakes in end.
Lol triggered by a little trolling mate involving your lil retired buddy? Surely you jest

Styles makes fights. Chandler is a heavy handed grappler with good cardio, that's Conor's Kryptonite. If he had a granite chin, I'd bet my life savings on Chandler if they ever fight. Conor only has a punchers chance against him.
chandler got sparked by the bellator 145 champ, conor will knock him and his whole bloodline out with one clean shot

Doesn't mean much, Pitbull is a double champ who's an absolute animal and hits like a truck. One of the best fighters in the world that's not fighting in the UFC.
