Seriously, how will Bisping-Silva play out in the Octagon?

silva will do anything to hope bisping opens himself up - bisping will throw tentative jabs and maybe a straight right if he really feels safe - it will be boring at first, silva will coax him, etc.

People thinking Anderson is past his best are forgetting that Bisping is also well past his best.

Anderson SHOULD easily decision Bisping unless Mike can take it to the ground and rough him up there. I think overall Bisping has better/more effective grappling on the mat, it just might be a tough task getting Anderson there.

I think this fight resembles the Silva-Diaz fight, except Bisping hurts Silva with a punch somewhere in late Round 2. I just don't think Silva has it anymore. (Well, I don't think he ever really did, but that is off-topic.)
Diaz is a much better boxer than Bisping, and he had nothing for Silva.

Bisping is tailor made to get murdered by the spider. He's got no KO power, no submission threat, and cant hold a candle to his striking, so he'll have to do the only think he knows, get on his bike and try to pepper him with his pillow fists. That gives Anderson a whole lot of chances to catch him with a counter, which he's best known for.

Man, I cant wait to have a new gif of Bisping getting starched and stiffened up... the Vitor and Hendo one are getting a bit old.

Dunno why people think Bisping will last 25 minutes with Silva...

If you think he never had it that kinda makes me know to pick the opposite of what you pick. Silva hurts bisping with a punch somewhere late in round 2.

"I don't think he ever really did"

How fucking dumb are you?

Anderson via elbow in clinch, after Michael gets countered for almost two rounds and decided to try and go for a takedown, ending up in the clinch. Michael fades, Anderson follows up with a knee. Michael goes Zzzzz....

I've read some stupid sh*t on Sherdog, but to think Anderson never really had it is a whole other nonsense.

The guy just doesnt have what it takes, back to Japan! hahaha

Silva will dance around and smack bisping repeatedly making him frustrated. Then bisping will get over aggressive and get KOD.

Does Bisping still have a shot eye? I think it might go a little like Anderson-Leites with Bisping not playing an aggressive game (even though that is probably his only way to win).

I think it will be competitive, maybe a bit lacklustre and end in a decision or perhaps eye poke stoppage.
Bisping is too smart to do a dumb ass move like Forrest, Sonnen or Bonner. People forget how boring and safe Anderson could be against technical fighters.

Bisping hurting Silva with a punch is perhaps the least likely outcome possible and if you believe that I don't value your fight analysis highly. Even if Silva is waaay, way out of his prime, Bisping knocking him out is extremely unlikely. We don't know how much Silva has declined, if any so we'll have to wait and see how he performs. Losing to Weidman means nothing in terms of how he'd do against someone like Bisping. The Diaz fight sucked as much as the Leties fight and Silva has from time to time put on awful performances mostly due to the type of fighter he's faced.

Really looking forward to this fight to see if Silva still has the ability to fight his way to a title shot. Too many are counting him out because of his losses to Weidman, a guy many thought was the MW GOAT.

Bisping is a good fighter, just not great. He'll likely pursue Silva and get countered into bolivian. Just seems like the most likely scenario for how this fight plays out. Silva may be past his prime, but his prime was much better than Bisping's ever was.

I think this may be closer than expected. Bisping has been able to maintain his standard of fighting. He gets finished by anyone inside the top 5. No changing that. I just think Anderson will still have enough left to outstrike Bisping. My only question is if Bisping will look to take Anderson down? If he gets Anderson thinking about a takedown the fight could extend longer. A little off topic, but I will be interested to see how Whittaker does against Natal. I think with a win, Whittaker should move into the top 5.
