The whole situation is so incredibly odd.

You have him winning the belt, and then jumping up not one but two weight classes to fight Nate. He alluded several times - albeit indirectly perhaps - to not liking the weight cut at 145. He seemed to put on the weight to 170 very easily as well. So what's to become of the 145 belt?

I don't think he has much intention of going back down there to that hideous weight cut and a high risk/low reward fight with Edgar.

Yeah, they'll probably do Conor/Aldo 2 if Conor beats Diaz.

No and that should be pretty obvious he is the 145lb champion fighting at 170 in a non title fight and yes I have heard all his bullshit claims that they asked so an so but nobody wanted the fight blah blah fucking blah

I don't think he will, unless he loses to Nate and decides to go back to whipping midgets again.

I'm pretty sure he will.

But I think the UFC is making a mistake letting him dictate title shots across literally *three* divisions.

That's just absurd. No other fighter has ever been given that kind of opportunity.

Hard to say, the IV ban along with the upcoming dehydration ban( or whatever) will complicate things. Seems like he'll have to move up eventually.

Short sighted. But they are pretty transparent about their favoritism to him

Nope. He was already too big and seems to be getting bigger. If he dominates Nate, it's RDS or another big LW fight for him.

I only see him going back if he loses a fight before winning the belt and having a successful title defense at LW.

one of conor's training buddies or coach said that conor's body is unusual in that he can get small or big easily.

I think he's gotten too big to ever go back down. His sights are set on the 155 belt.

No CHAMP has been WILLING to........... They say they want to but none actually did it

Conor could not make 145 because he was training for 155, and no one the UFC wanted could make 155.

It's pretty hard to say... But I think if he doesn't defend it after his next fight then he should be forced to vacate it...interim at least...

Right now he seems pretty big. I dont know. He looks like total crap on the scale at 145

ALRIGHT, I think it depends on what he weighs at weigh-ins, since we dont really know what they weigh on fight night. If he comes in under 170 at all, I think he can make it back down and would his next fight.

If he weighs 170 or 171 and looks like he cut some weight still he is not making it back down
