And I want to also say that I have a great deal of respect for her for willingly becoming less feminine to reach the pinnacle of her sport. That's a serious sacrifice, and one that shouldn't be so callously ridiculed.
If I were to ask you how many of you would take on a much more feminine appearance in exchange for the opportunity to become better at your chosen sport, how many would honestly be interested? Though I am certainly willing to sacrifice a great deal for powerlifting--including aspects of my physique--this would give me pause. I'm not saying that she should be considered a hero for using, but I at least can recognize that it hasn't been easy for her.
