Sergey Fedosienko Totals 11xBW Raw

And I want to also say that I have a great deal of respect for her for willingly becoming less feminine to reach the pinnacle of her sport. That's a serious sacrifice, and one that shouldn't be so callously ridiculed.

If I were to ask you how many of you would take on a much more feminine appearance in exchange for the opportunity to become better at your chosen sport, how many would honestly be interested? Though I am certainly willing to sacrifice a great deal for powerlifting--including aspects of my physique--this would give me pause. I'm not saying that she should be considered a hero for using, but I at least can recognize that it hasn't been easy for her.

Agreed and well put. I was serious when I said I heard she could no longer have children. It may not be true but if it is what a sacrifice for your sport...

One that I definitely would not be willing to make.

Agreed. I wouldn't make it either. I have my limits, and Laura's beyond them, which is why she is a world record holder and the best female lifter on the planet.

Well said. And to answer your question, I would not be willing to go that far.

Laura Phelps is amazingly strong.I think close to a 400 lb bench press raw no equipment weighing about 180 lbs (or less). She competes in non tested competitions so atleast she isn't like some lifters who compete in drug free contests while using.I used to compete in powerlifing but the equipment has gotten way out of hand.Guys benching 1000lbs with a shirt then takes the shirt off and do 700 lbs which is amazing. To each his own but alot of the past superstars die young and then everyone makes a big deal about itYou can't have it both ways by doing steroids and everything under the sun setting world record after world rcord then be surprised when you die at 35 years old.
