It's been a while since I was in this thread - was it conclusive that she didn't take the test? My recollection was that it was inconclusive if she took it but that might have changed.

nah, he failed several.

he had 3-4 samples from the 90's with elevated t/e ratios but US Cycling (Which was at the time under the control of his team financial Thom Weisel) ignored it. (testing done by Don Caitlin)

He had corticosteroid positives at the 99 tour de france but they were covered up with a retroactive TUE

He had a EPO positive at the 2001 Tour du Suisse, but the UCI decided to downgrade it from "positif" to only "suspicious", called him in to talk about it and in return Lance donated a $100k to "anti doping costs" and then later on a bit more so they could buy a sysmex machine

In 2004 they did retroactive testing of the 98 and 99 Tour de France samples and Lance had no fewer than 7 EPO positives. The UCI damned the retroactive testing and produced a report called the "Vrijmaan report" basically saying all the retroactive testing was invalid and bullshit. The report was co-authored by Emil Vrijman and Armstrongs legal team (I kid you not.. the UCI had Lance's own legal team check and sign off on an investigatory report into Lance's positive tests)

Finally, in 2009/2010 he was found to have biopassport violations. This is why his ban extended beyond the 1999-2005 period. Because they had him for a doping violation on is return to the sport in 2009.

about 14-15 positives and a passport violation.

Again he never failed the tests at the time and some of his data were skewed when looking at the biological passport, Tyler Hamilton made a lot of shit up at the time.

The UCI did not cover up positive doping controls for EPO from Lance Armstrong during the 2001 Tour de Suisse, because the American did not test positive, according to lab reports.

I thought the story stated that the person was admitted to her property, by an assistant, when she wasn't home. And that her response was to call the various organizations involved about whether or not there was a protocol issue in play rather than submit to the test.

If she was skipping a legit situation she would have received a whereabouts failure - which she didn't. It was one of the USADA's unannouncend, any time, any where tests. Perfectly fine but not surprising that someone would react to finding a complete stranger in their house after they get home.

As for the non-test. She called the testing organizations and the tennis organization to discuss it, she didn't avoid the issue. She'd been tested more than all other tennis players including men. She's never failed a drug test in 20+ years of competition. It's kind of stupid to default to drug violations in that scenario.

Let me put this into context - this is a website for a sport that is full of rampant steroid abuse. Top level athletes get busted all of the time and there's a rampant dick pills problem out there too. Yet this site states that we shouldn't throw around steroid accusations. It simply makes no sense to me that such a policy and the reasoning behind it only is only applicable to combat sports.

2001 - yes, because they downgraded it from positive to suspicious in return for a donation

ps "UCI says" is about as reliable as "Chael says".. they were found to be complicit in covering up Armstrongs positives

and yes, he 100000% tested positive for corticosteroids covered up by a retroactive tue

and 100% he had samples with t/e ratios as follows;

a 9.0-to-1 ratio from a sample collected on June 23, 1993
a 7.6-to-1 from July 7, 1994
and a 6.5-to-1 from June 4, 1996

all of those were ignored by US Cycling which at the time was under the control of Armstrongs team financier.

Ive explained in detail all his positives and how they were covered up.


If you want to believe he "never tested positive" go ahead..

i suppose you believe the "tested 500-600 times" myth as well?

I didn't get anything wrong. I stated that I hadn't been in the thread in a while and didn't recall. Which is why I started with asking if it she hadn't taken the test. It's the words followed by the question mark - usually used to indicate a request for information. You're really bad with the English language it seems.

Interesting. If Nadal's name pops up, would you disqualify him from any sort of all-time great commentary?

Given that I think his style was tilted more towards speed and athleticism as compared to skill and grace like Roger and Novak, I think I'd have to say Nadal would should be fully removed from the convo.

May not make sense, but if Roger or Novak got pinched, I just wouldn't think it would be as big an advantage as it would be for Rafa. Maybe I'm just on the Rafa hatorade lol.
