Facebook and X definitely seems to have cleaned up their act, Google hasn't.

Although with Google there's the question whether it's just leftist loonies in big tech or if the deep state is pressuring them as well.

Hilary Clinton is facing conservative backlash online after calling Donald Trump a 'danger to the country' less than 48 hours after a second assassination attempt on his life.

The one-time Democratic presidential nominee made the comments during an interview on MSNBC with host Rachel Maddow Monday night while promoting her new book.

'I don't understand why it is so difficult for the press to have a consistent narrative about how dangerous Trump is,' Clinton said.

She suggested journalists should cover the 'object' stating: 'well the object in this case is Donald Trump, his demagoguery, his danger to the country and the world, and stick with it.'

Later in the interview, Clinton and Maddow discussed Russian disinformation operations and how they are using Americans willingly or unwittingly to disseminate Russian propaganda.

Clinton said it's important to indict the Russians but she also said there are Americans who are engaged in the propaganda.

She suggested them being civilly or criminally charged would be a 'better deterrent because the Russians are unlikely... to ever stand trial in the United States.'

Conservatives including Trump's own running mate pounced on the remarks.

'Hillary Clinton is calling for censorship, but she's really calling for violence,' JD Vance claimed in a post on X.

Hillary Clinton wants to prosecute people that don't preach the narrative she and Democrats want.

and i mentioned why i'm voting for him. it's self interest / selfishness. i'd expect my tax burden to be alot lower.

How am I lacking nuance in understanding rust belt voters? Just because I didn't mention every single kind of Trump voter doesn't mean I was implying that those three positions I mentioned were the only good faith reasons to vote for Trump.

I'm well aware that rust belt voters liked Trump because of his protectionism and that this helped flipped the rust belt for him, in fact this is common knowledge and has been talked about ad nauseum. If anything its given far too much weight in explaining Trumpism but sure, it exists. I didn't mention it because truthfully I think those rust belt voters are wrong to believe that Trump can save those dying industries which is why I wanted to focus on pro-Trump positions that hold up to scrutiny better but of course I understand the underlying sentiment.
