Elections Second Assassination Attempt of Trump at his Florida golf course

I think the people who think he's some sort of god are just as weird.

I don't agree about TDS. We can both agree that Hitler is bad but if I came here and had to read people's criticisms of Hitler for 10 years straight, eventually I would be so annoyed by it that I would just glance over it and stop paying attention to any criticism of Hitler. Doesn't mean I think Hitler is awesome, it means I'm just tired of the same drivel.

I also got annoyed by people bitching about Obama like he was the anti christ as well.

It's just not healthy behavior, no matter what side you're on.
Well it's a politics forum and Trump has been front and center since 2015 lol. That's kinda like going into The Heavyweights and complaining you keep seeing threads about Jon Jones. What did you expect they'd be talking about, Simone Biles?

If Republicans want him to fade into obscurity a good starting point would be to stop nominating him for POTUS.

So going by how you describe it, which im taking your word for, this seems pretty cut and dry. What are the legal hangups that are preventing prosecution here?
This is what’s being prosecuted in the GA RICO case. Ken Chesebro has already plead guilty to masterminding this plan.

Quick summary of legal hang ups: one has been whether these cases should be in state or federal court. Trump, Mark Meadows, and others filed motions to have the cases moved there which was denied. Trump has also challenged Fanni Willis being allowed to remain on the case, so the GA RICO case is in limbo until the Georgia Court of Appeals rules on that request, which they’ve scheduled for December.
Jenna Ellis, Ken Chesbro, Scott Hall, and Sidney Powell have all plead guilty already.

The difference is Hitler is not running for POTUS in 2024 and Trump is.

Why shouldn't Democrats criticize the nominee of the opposing party?

Feel free to criticize but realize that an oversaturation of the same criticisms and hyperbole for a decade straight is going to fall on deaf ears more often than not.

I usually read your posts but when I see the word Trump, my eyes usually gloss over and I just glance through the TDS because I'm not going to waste my time reading the exact same thing that I've read a million times before from you and others.

I don't know what to tell you if you can't tell the difference in political talk and your normal run of the mill TDS rants that have been going on for a decade straight. There's nothing new, nor interesting there. I bet we could compile a 50,000 page book of TDS rants from this forum alone and the first page would basically encompass what is going to be said in the next 49,999 pages.

I don't think hardly anyone on the left wants him dead. Most just want him to go away. If he was killed, he would become a martyr, and some other whackjob like Vance or someone else would just take his place. I would like to see him just straight up lose the election, which he is doing everything god damn possible it seems like, and maybe serve a short term in prison. That last part might be wishful thinking.

Anyone who thinks the left is promoting this is not listening to what is being said by democrats or in the least contrasting it to the crap that trumpers are spewing about different groups.

It would be nice if the democrats had any kind of policy plans instead of just repeating orange man bad.

I read he had been in the area for 12 hours..
According to his phone data

And??? Was he just going to sit on the golf course for days and wait for him to come by?

There’s no legal theory that covers this.
States determine how their elections are run, via laws passed by the legislatures there and usually by rules set by their election commissions (which are in turn empowered by laws passed by the legislature). Any legal challenges have to be resolved by what is called the Safe Harbor Date, which in 2020 was Dec 8, and that was done.

So:

1. There was no reason to have any other slate of electors sign anything on Dec 20. The states had all certified their results—some of them multiple times—prior to this, and all legal challenges to those certifications had been resolved already.

2. There’s no mechanism by which Congress or the VP can just toss some state-certified slate of electors in the trash and use a different one of their choosing. To do that disenfranchises every voter who voted for the certified winner.

3. There’s also no mechanism by which Congress or the VP can just decide not to accept any slate of electors and sent the election to the House. That again disenfranchises every voter who voted for the certified candidate.

What's scary is that Pence had to ask Dan Quayle about certifying the election.

Dan Quayle can't spell potato.

I'm impressed they spotted him actually. Not sure precisely where he was located, but the foliage along that fence line and irrigation channel looks pretty dense.

Well obviously Trump supporters like you are resistant to hearing criticisms of Trump but why should anyone take their accusations of TDS seriously? There's pretty much no criticism of Trump from his critics that you guys will accept as legitimate and so the only way to appear fair to you guys is avoid criticizing Trump as much as possible.

Secret Service has been getting lucky...

And like the saying goes.

Secret Service has to be 100% all the time... not 95%, not 99%

They just need to succeed once... just once

So there's a mountain of evidence but you can't point to a single confirmed case of a Haitian eating someone's pet?

You sound like a Bigfoot enthusiast. I'm sure you'll find him one day.

They geo-located this video. It's Ohio, but not Springfield.

What is weird is that everyone is fixated on such a nonsense story. Lester Holt had to bring it up when he reported the 2nd Assassination attempt.

And??? Was he just going to sit on the golf course for days and wait for him to come by?
'Being there for 12 hours make it seems so....
If he got inside info.. why be waiting around the golf course for 12 hours?

You've been presented with a mountain of evidence in the other thread that you're willingly ignoring.

You've also been slandering Trump for years for things with way less evidence because your brain is infected with TDS.

Democrats want to focus on eating cats because if people start talking about: the economy, crime, energy policy, the Southern Border, war, or virtually any significant topic, they lose.

I think the thing is people are conflating "political talk" with "TDS rants."

Trump has been found liable/guilty of running a fake school designed to rob people of their savings, stealing charity money, various kinds of business fraud, sexual assault, defamation, filing frivolous lawsuits for revenge, contempt of court, violating gag orders...he's been impeached twice, with the highest members of his own party like Turtle saying he is clearly guilty, and has been charged with many more felonies for mishandling classified documents, trying to overthrow an election, lying, etc.

I mean...my goodness...how much is enough? Obviously, a scumbag like this still having an army of sycophants and lickspittles is going to bring out a lot of criticism from opponents, and that's understandable.

The criticism we see on here is FAR more substantive and erudite than what we see from his supporters, who appear completely lost without their memes and platitudes. I mean... it's night and day. If you can't see that I dunno what to tell ya. To each their own I guess.

Yeah, I'd be surprised if incompetence on this guy's part wasn't a large factor in their success.

lol.... What? He wasn't even planning to be there that day.

But if this guy is as crazy as he sounds, maybe he had been waiting there for days for his chance.
