Sean Strickland vs. Khamzat Chimaev

Imagine how terrible Usman must be for losing to a bum like Khamzat lol overrated WW. Not even top100 all time to lose to some can like Khamzat

<{anton}><{anton}><{anton}><{anton}>
I agree, this prove that Usman is a can, and always was. How can he he show himself in public after this?

He shouldn't and guys like Gilbert Burns should probably go play Chess or Checkers because if you lose to Usman AND Khamzat, sheesh, you're just baaaaad

lol @ Shertards amazed at Khamzat. That fight says a lot more of an over the hill short notice shot knees no camp Usman than the overrated Khamzat. The fact a full camp fresh Khamzat didn’t blow through him like his list of cans, they’re blaming a broken hand

<{anton}>

when he beats Strickland, don’t hide

Yeah, I didn’t expect Khamzat to run through Usman like Jingliang or Holland, was thinking about the fight being closer to Burns. The whole theres Levels, Khamzat isn’t going to dump a top tier grappler or wrestler and submit them while their fresh, I doubt we see Khamzat finish elite guys early very often anymore unless he sparks them out.
khazmat had broken wrist that is why 2 and 3 round were like that if you watched a fight he has left hand up and right hand down resting

Listen, if Khamzat goes to decision and wins against Burns, Usman, Strickland, and DDP in a row he sucks. He was never a top WW or MW, his cardio lasts 1 round, and everyone he beat was past their prime and washed up. He's been ducking guys like Neil Magny and Costa for awhile.

If Strickland defends against Borz it’s likely to go one of two ways, imo.

1. Borz gets his back and chokes Strickland out in round 1.

2. Strickland survives the first round, and either wins on points or possibly gets a late finish. But he will win if he gets through round 1, imo.

I think it’s that simple. I think Strickland has a very high fight IQ in general. He played with Alex on the feet and got burned. Borz is not nearly as dangerous on the feet as guys like Alex, and Izzy.

Strickland and his team should drill defending the RNC until they are sick of it. Usman showed that if you can defend the choke you can beat Borz. I’m not sure exactly who Strickland trains with everyday.

But after 295 Strickland might want to go back to Connecticut for a week or two. I figure Glover could help him out with sub defence. And he can train a bit more with Alex. I think that’s a solid plan. It certainly can’t hurt.

Strickland’s striking defence is very high level. His gas tank is excellent. He can push the pace and take his opponent’s striking game out of it’s natural rhythm with pressure. TDD is NOT his priority in a fight with Borz. He WILL get taken down.. Early. Anybody that thinks he won’t knows nothing about mma. His priority imo, is just to survive until the end of round 1.

Stay calm like Usman did. He was never in serious danger of actually being subbed by Borz. Just protect your neck at all costs for 5 minutes. If Strickland survives round 1. He has a massive advantage for however much longer the fight lasts. Even if he loses round 1, 10-8. This will be a 5 round fight.

Covid may have damaged Borz’ respiratory system. If it did, it is very unlikely that he will ever be able to improve his cardio. No matter how much he works on it.

Of course, this is all easier said than done for Strickland. But that should be Strickland’s team’s primary focus if Borz is actually getting the next TS.

I’m not sure exactly what the deal is with Borz’ hand/wrist. I haven’t seen any updates since the night of the fight. Clearly Borz does NOT deserve to fight for the belt, but that’s irrelevant. The UFC wants that fight. So unless Borz will not be ready by the first 2, or 3 ppv of 2024. Strickland will probably be fighting him. Or the UFC may want this fight on the UFC 300 card. Which gives Borz even more time to get healthy, etc.

That’s how I see it. Borz CAN get the early sub. But if he doesn’t it’s all over but the crying. Strickland WILL win. Barring some kind of freak injury or fuckery by the ref/judges.

I will admit that prior to the Usman fight, I was a believer in Khamzat. But I must also admit that after the Usman fight, I was pretty appalled at his inability to finish such a low caliber fighter in the first round. It is pretty easy to see that Sean Strickland is at a completely different level. His pose, his takedown defense, and his striking skills are leagues above that of Usman. It is really hard to imagine any version of Sean Strickland ever losing to the likes of Kamaru Usman. I made this thread because I found it crazy that Khamzat is currently the favorite against Strickland. This seems like a total mismatch to me and the odds are completely off. Am I or the oddsmakers/bettors crazy?
hahahahahahahahahH Usman is a lower caliber fighter. hahahahhahahahhahahaa you're stupid

when he beats Strickland, don’t hide
“when” just like when he was supposed to steamroll Usman in 90 seconds or less or Like “when” Strickland was gonna be easily beaten by Izzy. Shertards are the dumbest MMA fickle analysts out there.

Khamzat dominates Sean worse than Usman did

Ducking Costa sir?
C'mon man, that's straight ridiculous since Costa is the one that pulled out.

Usman beat Sean you casual. If he’s low caliber then what does that make Sean?

I'm being sarcastic, trying to tie in the "Khamzat ducking Costa" to the earlier "Khamzat ducking Magny" threads. Its funny how they have to keep finding a better opponent for him.

I see, I hang my head in shame sir.
I should be beaten for my retardation lol.
