It seems pretty clear that Strickland isn't in line for the next title shot. With Whittaker up against Khamzat and Costa likely taking on Cannonier, I reckon a rematch with Usman at 185lbs makes sense. It'd be a chance for him to take down a former champ and make up for a past loss.

I wanna see Izzy vs DDP because the lead-up will be fun and it's an exciting matchup.

Arguments for not seeing it is that Izzy lost the title, won the title, and then immediately lost it again. Can't really talk about him being a former dominant champ as reason to give him a title shot, that shit is in the rear view mirror.

What's worse is how he finished the fight with Strickland. He just skated to lose a decision, showing absolutely zero urgency in there. That's the biggest factor for me.
