Media Sean Strickland invades the cage and assaults a police officer(winning fighter)!

Strickland is always much more aggressive in interviews, press conferences and encounters like this, but when its the actual fight all he does is stare and throw the same jab on loop for the full 5. Wish he would show some of this aggression in the real fight for a change!

There is trauma, there is mental illness, there is brain damage, there is drug abuse, there is stupidity, there is immaturity and lack of self control.

There are no demons.

Not sure when or why calling everything demons became a thing. Maybe just because it sounds cooler to say Sean is "Battling Demons" than "Sean is a mess because his Daddy touched him and he's too manly and awesome to get therapy."
Actually therapy is solving "demons problems".

100%.

Strickland is one of those idiots who screams stupid shit like "THAT guy's a fa**ot! Take him down!" from the sidelines.

He's a mess. And when his MMA career ends (and it WILL end quickly because of the way he trains), he's going to have a shitload of emotional debt to pay off.

I get it. I came from an abusive household as well. But fighting only keeps the demons at bay for so long. You've got to cowboy up and get that shit sorted with professional help or it's going to sink you.
Yeah, combat sports aren't therapy as many people claim. Well, end quickly? It is already pretty long, pro since 2008, 36 fights (23 in the UFC). While he's sparring a lot, he's probably not having chutebox sparrings, so there's that.

💯

I felt the same way about Conor getting slugged by Khabib’s teammate after the fight ended.

You have no idea how much damage the guy has taken. He could have a brain bleed going on that needs to be treated immediately. An errant sucker punch could have dire consequences.

The Conor one was really, really bad. The POS literally crawled over the fence and snuck up behind him and sucker punched him from behind out of nowhere. Doesn't get much lower than that.

His strategy of mostly sparring very hard against people who can't fight back makes him not take a lot of damage in sparring.

He was very timid when he was sparring Pereira.

Also, his overall defensive style makes him not take a lot of damage.

I'm curious how long he will stay in the top 5 conversation at MW, could see a big drop-off in performances when his hand speed and reflexes start to slow down.

Well, most of the time guys can fight back. From time to time influencer comesa, but at daily basis pros at Couture. Drop-offs on performance are almost on every career

Against pros, he uses his regular defensive style. Against smaller guys/influencers, he spars hard because he can get away with it without getting cracked too hard back.

I remember something about Strickland getting hit to the head way less than others, even though he spars a lot, due to how good his defense is.

They did some small study where they had to wear something in their mouth guard to measure it.

I don’t agree with taunting coaches or cornermen, ask and you shall receive I guess.

I don't know the full story but I don't mind what Strickland and Curtis did there. Security needs to be better though.

Yeah, you should be able to attack anyone who makes fun of you.

And anyone who cuts you off in traffic.

And anybody who is wearing a shirt you don't like.

Or maybe grow the fuck up.

Actions have consequences, I don’t think most people go around behaving like the guy in the cage either. Not saying what Sean did is right, but the guy kind of asked for it especially considering it’s fucking Sean Strickland.
