I think you hit the nail on the head with your opening sentence - people like to see shit-talkers get a taste of their own medicine and since Sean is an instigator/shit-talker there was a sense of comeuppance that a guy notorious for getting under other fighters skin was gotten to himself.

To be fair he called Garry and O'Malley cucks and DDP homophobic slurs, so it's not like he has any moral authority or standing to even make the case for moral outrage, even if they escalated things from "hyperbolic insults for actions taken as grown men" to "bringing up child abuse."

In the context of him having to eat crow it doesn't really matter to some people; all that matters is that since he started talking shit he deserved to get hit back....which I do understand to a degree - this is the fight business, if you are going to open that door don't be surprised what comes through it.

But I'll be damned if it doesn't make you cringe even harder when it gets to that level.

Re read my post and the video I put up. All the stuff said about Garry has been refuted in terms of his wife.

To be honest I would be more worried about his motivations with her. She is a wealthy former tv personality who ended up with a young athlete in a sport that pays terribly. I just think he is focused on being a fighter and got sick of young bimbos.

He didn't speak up for abused kids until people talked shit about him. He specifically said he thinks more kids deserve an alcoholic fuelled beating and clarified he didn't mean just discipline. He said they need it to grow some balls. He has said that type of thing multiple times and the video has been put in this thread multiple times. Plenty of interviews of him being pro abuse to harden kids up.
