Media Sean Strickland calling for rematch...(Says he won and is DEMANDING justice)

Win?

Punch the guy more than he gets punched?

Have haymakers miss him by 5 feet all night?

Immediately get up after DDP panic wrestles from having his orbital continually mangled with jabs?

Um...okay?

Many haymakers landed, including head kicks.

Landing a bit less but harder strikes > landing a bit more but weaker strikes.

Going forward constantly > going backward for 25 minutes.

Landing takedowns, even if you dont do much with them > defending and having to get up from takedowns

Deal with it you dumb Strickland cocksucker.

I dont even understand how this guy has fan. Hes an idiot and he's the most boring champ we had in years. I guess idiots attracts idiots like you.

Strickland couldn't finish a sandwich.

His finish % speaks for itself. He's not stopping a ranked opponent, let alone Driccus. To be clear I don't personally mind that Sean is a point fighter, the game is make the most money taking the least brain damage.

It isn't going to grant you instant rematches though, and he never earned his title shot. He lost to Cannonier then got murdered by Poatan, then fought two unranked guys. Loses the belt immediately etc.

I'd like to see Sean fight Whittaker or Costa since he's never matched up with either.
Imavov wasn't unranked, probably a win that's gonna continue aging well. His "loss" to Jared also came after Poatan.

I'd actually say Strickland landed the harder shots upon rewatch. Usually people just assume that the guy with more power lands the harder shots but DDP really didn't land much of anything for power shots. Also going forward vs going backwards? Watch the fucking fight buddy, Strickland was going forward just as much.

In the way of the rules, those takedowns aren't supposed to actually count for anything, no damage, sub attempts or even attempts to advance position.

Most of the knowledgeable part of the MMA fanbase sees it as a Strickland W and rightfully so.

You need to rewatch better bro.

LIterally everything you said about the fight, none of it actually happened. Strickland didn't fight anymore "passive" than DDP, he definitely wasn't going backwards the whole time (it actually looks like Strickland might have even gone forward more) and there was a great punch at the end of round 1 and several in round 5 that I would easily consider harder punches than anything DDP landed.

DDP won the decision on optics, with the cuts, blood and useless takedowns. The thing about winning a fight with optics is that it can convince lesser educated fans (like you) that DDP won the fight.

MW division is in a tough spot. I don't want to see another rematch with Strickland yet. The fight was decent, but I don't need to see it again yet. Adesanya has lost 2 of his last 3 fights, does he deserve a title shot? Whitiker loses as much as he wins lately, going 2-2 in his last four. I would rather see someone new, like Chimaev or maybe Cannonier again.

No immediate rematches. Strickland needs to fix issues in his game in terms of scoring to win a decision. The next matchup should be Whittaker for him. DDP can have his Africa arc with Izzy. We will know Izzy is really shot or he was just burnt out for the Strickland fight.

no more gosh damned insta rematches this shit is ridiculous

ROFLLL you fucking dumbasses strickland fanbois.

And its hilarious that a 2018 join date is trying to lecture me about the effect of cosmetic damage. Comedy gold.

Well it was close enough to justify, but we all know that this type of thing is based on potential ppv buys not competitive integrity

I agree. They need to run it back. I thought Sean won. Barely but he did.

You're looking desperate here. DDP inflicted more damage than Sean could ever do with his jab fest "gameplan". Blood doesn't leak out of your body for no reason. The narrative all fight week was if the fight makes it past round 2 then Strickland will "drown" DDP making that night even more hilarious to see. If Strickland were the violent killer that he said he was he'd have won more convincingly. But now he has to resort to paranoia and blaming American judges for being agents of left-wing Canadian politics. <45>You can't make this shit up

lol you're still a reeling Izzy fanboy who still hasn't got over Strickland wooping him

You might feel a little better if he beats DDP but it still won't erase that Strickland asswhooping

You've posted nothing to show me you know anything about fights. Like I said, winning fights on optics is all thats needed to convince the lesser educated fans (like you). Once the cuts were cleaned up Sean wasn't even bruised or anything, barely got touched. DDP on the other hand got his face turned to hamburger meat. They're both white dudes who bruise and swell easy, if Strickland got hit he would have shown it. He just didn't get hit that awful much in that fight, DDP on the other hand got battered.
