Media Sean Strickland breaks down crying on Theo Von’s podcast | UPDATE: Video in OP

all kidding aside and its still Fck strickland.

but do you think something More happened than just getting hit ? Im pretty seasoned
and i have a hunch that his abuse
was alot worser than what it was. Think about it Strickland prides himself to be this All american
hard working bad azz right. talks about america being soft and what not. So if his dad just use to beat him to instill discipline
even over excessively , I dont think Strickland would be so triggered or hurt like this. even if he beat his mom, strickland
himself is very traditional..... therefor

Instead he would be praising his dad for giving him
tough love knowing how hard this world is. i know people whose dad beat the crap outta them but in the end they DONT
BEHAVE like this
they kinda understand their fathers sure they have resentment and anger but after going into the real world they
are able to understand their fathers discipline despite flaws... but with this....something seems off....

im thinking about what he said /called DDP and wondering
if ddp taunting strickland Triggered something which made sean lash out.
think about it
DDP kissing other men and getting his junk grabbed, and then having
the audacity to bring up stricklands dad.... do you think their was an unintentional mashup
and the combination was what triggered sean..... what are yall thoughts.

People far too open about personal instances of childhood abuse and neglect. This isn’t for public consumption or knowledge. All it does is make people feel uncomfortable.
A lot of people are going to tell you how wrong you are about this and with good reason. Abuse, neglect, this kind of damage often lasts a lifetime. Strickland is a tough bastard now but think how powerless he must have been as a child. Sharing can give other survivors a sense of community, support, strength. It can also be cathartic and bring healing. Sharing can inform others who didn't know or didn't understand the lasting effects even if they don't immediately identify or find it impossible to relate. Discretion, fear, shame, secrecy, silence facilitate and enable abuse and the abuser, btw. That's fine if you can't stomach it but from one human to another, this kind of honesty and openness can never be criticized.

Spoken like a true damaged little boy.

Please stop with the "you cant take it" line. The sherbro only asked for a bit of decency there. I like Desean but the guy should talk to a shrink about his problems and not to fuckin theo von

No, it raises awareness and helps abuse victims realize it’s not just them and they’re not as alone as they feel. Boohoo if you feel uncomfortable.

Irony is rich considering he never expresses remorse when he inflicts pain on other people say, family of a dead MMA fighter who got run by a bus and he made jokes about him while they were grieving. Is the following because of his dad too where Strickland goes bullying people on the road even a poor old lady whom Strickland dropped F bombs while she is completely shaken? Strickland harassed her asking for her husband or son to come fight him. Does he ever cry at his own behavior or he just only cries when he encounters someone who does not get bullied by him?

Or this where he tells fathers should give drugs, alcohol and a beating to their kids because kids today are too soft and that they need to be toughened up? He sure was not crying before Dricus manhandled him

It’s indecent to breakdown while discussing your childhood? Wtf are you talking about? I don’t think he planned that. It was a spontaneous thing. Shouldn’t fault a man for feeling pain.

Take it down a notch depak chopra.

No, but what am I to do? All of the arguments about awareness fall flat. We know it goes on but nothing institutionally has changed it. People wear their pain on their sleeve like a
“what am I to do?” Who’s the martyr now? You’re literally crying about him crying. And just because you’re aware, doesn’t mean everyone out there including much younger people are all aware.

this is why people should get spayed.

Reality and comedy. Two different things.

When Animal Control finally takes all Izzy's dogs, he is going to be ballin

Strickland needs to share this with a psychologist. When you reveal this kind of shit in public, you're opening up yourself for ridicule. If someone does ridicule him, why does he get butt hurt about it? He ridicules others insecurities.
Makes me wonder if winning the belt and the increased spotlight on him is emotionally taxing on him and if it’s at odds with his sense of self worth or self security.

This is probably the worst take on this. It’s important for people especially in positions of power to be honest about childhood trauma. It lets kids know they can still go on. It’s also important for people to understand that even tho you succeed it really doesn’t ever go away. I don’t care how much therapy you do. Or even the idea that you get to beat up the boogeyman every damn day of your life inside a gym and in the end you will still feel like that kid. Kudos to him for that.
