YesDoes it really count if you lose only due to injury?
Did anyone really think O'Malley was losing the fight before his leg gave out? This wasn't exactly the equivalent of Silva's loss in the second go round with Weidman.
If that injury was caused by your opponent why wouldn't it count?Does it really count if you lose only due to injury?
I never did understand why I was expected to root for and worship O'Malley just for being a pot smoker. Even if I don't think weed is "evil" it still doesn't make any sense.
Fair enough. I still want to see a rematch. How likely would it be to sustain a bum leg a third time...If that injury was caused by your opponent why wouldn't it count?

His leg didnt give out, Chito struck a nerve & made it go limp. This has happened many times over the past few years, are you new to mma? Do you even trane UFC?
Here's a brief video that goes over it.
Others have pointed this out as well.
Its uncommon but it seemed to occur as a result of a kick to the knee. As those videos point out it happened before to Cejudo gainst MM in their second fight, to Jamie Varner against James Krauss, and Michael Chandler against Brent Primus.
I doubt Vera intentionally tried for this given how rare it is but it does seem to have occurred as a result of his kick.
Wut? Lol thats some random nonsense right thereIf fighting doesn't work out O'Malley can always rejoin his Antifa comrades
I don't think either guy really knew that's how it happened. Remember DC asked his corner if he got dropped when he clearly did? Fighters often wrongfully assess their performances, when they're in there they're not always aware of these details. The kick was a grazing kick that hit the right spot, I doubt O'Malley felt it much but it seems to have done the damage based on the footage.Unless O'Malley was lying to Olivi wouldn't it be obvious to him that a kick is what wrecked his leg? Why do you think he brought up his old foot fracture?
O'Malley is trying to activate his chakras as we speakWut? Lol thats some random nonsense right there

They're not mutually exclusive explanations, once his peroneal nerve was hit and he started rolling his ankle he could've aggravated an existing injury. Perhaps that's why he never recovered while Cejudo did.I will wait on some conclusive evidence. Seems incredibly coincidental that the injury to the foot he suffered in 2018 against Soukhamthath, which looked identical, had nothing to do with his injury at 252.
