Another one of those 'feel sorry for the robots, they're just like people' movie. If you were a calculating AI, taking the form of a child (or a hot chick) is the best move ever because it hijacks the emotionality of humans and gets them to protect you against their best interests.

This feels like a sequel to Elysium. In the worse way.

Really though I think the main failing there was the direction, Blomkamp has just been a flop after District 9.

Edwards on the other hand does I think have a record of elevating material that looks a bit generic, Monster, Godzilla and Rogue One really are not that original plot wise but make up for it in atmosphere and character.
