Bullying is less prevalent than ever and school shootings are at an all time high. When my father was in school people would have their hunting rifles in their trucks, bullying was vicious and no one shot anybody for it. The problem is weak minded people with no regard for human life.

The High School my kids went to is right across the street from me. No Metal Detectors but you need ID to get in and even as a parent they won't let me in, I have to leave what I brought (lunch, books, money etc) in an entrance with an armed guard. That being said, the school is huge and so busy. Between sports, activities, afterschool events, plays, clubs, Gym, auto shop, lunch, Band....there is no way they could stop someone from getting in, if they wanted to. It's a shame these kids even have to worry about this shit, but here we are.

Well it's certainly a more realistic option than attempting to ban guns.
