Grocery stores are regional. My go to place in Boston was Shaw's but the changed their name to Star market (WTF?). Kroger and plum market in Ann Arbor. Palo Alto was Kroger/trader Joe's. SF - Safeway, although I hear that Safeway is riddled with drug addicts now.
 
Kroger is trying to buy out Safeway as of a few months ago. I think it’s being looked at by the government as a potential monopoly. All I know is both those businesses do a shit ton of volume for my company so whatever happens they better not fuck us over lol.
