i understand where True is coming from, i know a lot of people like that, even w/in my genre of soul/r&b, they only listen to female singers.

I'm the exact opposite, but only b/c i sing myself and constantly try to match vocals w/ the singer (the only formal training i've really received outside of one year in college), which is substantially harder to do with female voices.
